Nicely done!

I think you might have closer to 48" x 50" though - even better. I'm hoping to get one of those Tuffy fixed-lid 2Dr cargo enclosures for the back (from the accessory list) - should be *almost* level with the back seats when they're down.
Oh nice! 48x50” would be better, thanks!

I’ll have to peel the tape and try it again tonight with a few beers. I think I’ll the missing items added back in also, I was just lazy and my garage is a mess right now.

I’m a camping gear whore (professional hazard) so I’ve been having fun cobbling together a solo camping kit with the 2D in mind. I guess it’s like slow therapy as we wait for our new rigs. 😂

edit: also looking forward to removing the rear seats and experimenting.

Ok, purely for entertainment value and a great reason to be in the garage I adjusted the cargo mock up to 48”x50”. That makes a big difference.

now includes
- 40 quart cooler
- 20L water Jerry
- step22 box (kitchen)
- step22 box (dry food)
- tool / recovery bag
- sleeping bag / pillow
- 2P tent
- Roadhouse Tarp
- full size camping / reclining chair
- shovel
- traction boards (preferred outside)

Only needs my hiking pack, boots & a small duffle for clothes. Plenty of room to add in a bin of firewood. This is fun.

PEACE

So with the seats down cargo area for the 2D is estimated at 45” x 40”. Correct me if this estimate is off.

Based on this I taped off a section of an old carpet in my garage to mimic this same 40x45” space. I just wanted to see what it looks like with my camping gear stacked up. 100% doable for wheeling weekends with the boys...
I love your enthusiasm, since I, too, will be getting a 2-dr. 😎

In my case, I will be the only user. In your case, though, I hope your kids are small, since you have folded down the back seats in your cargo area plans, and the roof rails can only support a dynamic load of 110 lbs.😜😉

nah, kids are huge now. This will be Dad’s truck. I’m keeping my 4D Tacoma.

I just wanted to see what it looks like with my camping gear stacked up. 100% doable for wheeling weekends with the boys & could easily add in gear for one more person (kid / wife / buddy) as needed. I have no plans for the 2D to be our family camping rig, we have a Tacoma for that 😎

Pics below include
- tent
- roadhouse tarp
- camp chair
- step22 box (kitchen)
- step22 box (dry food)
- cooler
- sleeping bag / pillow
- tools & recovery bag

Not included in this estimate (that I typically carry is)
- water Jerry’s
- sleeping pad
- mid sized shovel
- fire wood (dependent on destination)
- traction boards (tbd mounting maybe rear wheel)
- rear wheel mounted trash bag (I plan to move the camera)

Anyway I thought you guys may enjoy this exercise.

I’d call it 46-48” deep (accounting for the angle of this shot and leaving some room for the thickness of the tail gate... deeper if you take the rear seats out since that’s measured against the bottom cushion folded up) by 43” wide (at the narrowest between the wheel wells which should be the same for both door counts)

Well, I guess we will find out!

(Insert crazy reality joke here about TBD delivery MY21/22)

Either way I’m all in on the two door, and hell yes I’m going out with the boys to find some 11k’ hidden trout lakes and laughter in the stars.

At the moment this cargo planning game helps me pass the time.
