Test driving before purchasing?

Anyone test drive before they purchased? I have a Badlands ordered but really want to drive one of this dam things.

With me already sold on the Bronco, without having even seen one yet, @Seanette and I braved the drive into the Bay Area to place our order. There, we went for a brief test drive in a WildTrak.

Having expectations as high as I had, this was a perfect set up for me to be disappointed when finally driving one might fall short of those expectations.

In my experience, the Bronco that I drove utterly, totally failed to disappoint me.

one dealership here allows test drives and the rest keep their shit locked up to sell later. I wonder how many future sells that shortsightedness cost them.

I did do a half day test drive after I had ordered. I was so overly hyped about the Bronco that I was bound to be dissapointed.
I was not. Kept my order.

I got to be a passenger (with my wife and two kids in back) with a pro driver on a super fun trail in Buena Vista, Colorado in September. I was already sold on the Bronco but this experience really put away any uncertainties.

Now that I have my Bronco, I can tell you that you will probably really enjoy how it drives.

Test drove one last night. Didn’t really get to do any highway testing but at least got to drive it. Dealer told me they need to put 9k miles on them before they can sell them so they welcome test drives.

I’ve got a 2 door manual scheduled to be built the week of 1/10 and I got to drive a 2 door manual (with the top off!)at a local SoCal Ford event for about an hour doing some light off road trails and a tiny bit on road as well. This was about 2 weeks ago. It drove better than I expected and I can’t wait to get mine now. Also got to meet @Ourbroncolife there which was excellent!

They gave Mannequins to a bunch of dealers to allow test drives. I took out a school bus (4 door, CO, BL, non-squatch) from my dealer and, yes, it drives great. If you drive it, the wait will seem really hard to deal with, but - like many have said - ”It’s worth the wait!”

Take care if you get one like my test driver. If you pull over and put on the flashers, cars will stop because they think you’re dropping off kiddies. Lol

I took mine out for a spin before I bough it. I was not disappointed.

Have driven a WT and BB both four doors. BB had 2.3. Liked both, but WT was fav. BL two door non SAS is my order.

I test drove one a few months before mine arrived and came away with respect for the 2.3 it came with.
Mine has a 2.7 which is of course better but the 2.3 is not bad.

Test drove a four-door when we ordered. Yeah it drove great, but I did notice a couple things. Now keep in mind I drove a 1969 Bronco for 20 years, so this was light years ahead, but I did notice the windshield seemed small and far away. Also, I can see where the door sill is going to get scratched horribly. I'll be looking at the fixes for that as soon as we get our '21.
