The nominal difference between 4-door and 2-door models is $2495 across all trims (except FE).

The "hypothetical" (removing the $1595 upcharge for 10sp auto) 4-door Base "total MSRP" would be $34695 including Destination Charge.

Applying the $2495 difference between 4-door and 2-door means the "true" total MSRP for 2-door Base should have been $32200.

BUT.....in Ford's marketing strategy to offer a sub $30k Bronco, they discounted $2205 off that $32200 number.....to give us $29995.


In all the pricing weirdness we've P'd and M'd about......this the one bright spot! There is a Santa Claus after all.

The whole "starting at $28500" ($29995 with the $1495 destination charge) has been baked into this campaign since day one........ If they were to suddenly jack up the 2-door Base cost they would lose any shred of credibility that might still exist within their team.

The four door buyers are now subsidizing part of that discount because the bottom price for a 4 door Base just went up by some $1200.

The Base price was set how long ago and they're just now realizing an "error"?
How does that happen?
It wasn't just a B&P thing, it was in all their marketing stuff.

Sounds like the bean counters and marketing psychologists have determined that raising prices will not drag down sales enough to make it a losing proposition.

My base $32K Bronco 2-door manual will include delivery cost as well as switches, a roof rack and canoe strap... AND I am including a new canoe in my total cost.

That set up will depreciate to maybe $24K in 5 years/70K miles. If my numbers are right, I will not be able to get a better deal on ANY new vehicle than that (as long I pay cash for it).

Having the word “blue” in the color name is a hopeful suggestion, at best.

I’m hoping these savings extend to the 2022 MY. A base 2DR with manual and Sasquatch package would be a great deal for us who want all the driving capabilities and don’t care about all the driving nannies bs.

With a later reservation I’m planning to initially order a 4DR BD, but assuming my delivery isn’t scheduled until 2022 MY, I’ll change to the 2DR base manual Sasquatch. Most bang for your buck!
