Lol whatever you say man but resale, safety, and structural integrity are definitely 'on-topic' things when it comes to a factory roll cage in a topless vehicle. Especially when you're talking about replacing it with a home cooked roll cage. But if you have the money to blow more power to ya!?
I knew this GA public school education would bite me in the ass one day.

I simply wanted to know it the factory "cage" and B pillars were bolt on.

IMO, they look like ass. I would be surprised if most folks did not think they look like ass.

I was trying to keep YOU PEOPLE focused.

So, judging form the replies it's either:

A. Y'all love the look of the "roll" bar and B pillars.
B. Y'all don't do any mods to your vehicles unless they can be bolted on.
C. Y'all don't do any mods to your vehicles at all.

Is anyone planning a SAS?
A. Don't mind them
B. Plenty of mods that aren't "Bolt on" done to all my vehicles
C. No not a brand new vehicle
I was not attempting to be condescending, but I am old and grumpy and do not play well with others.

I was actually an OG on the PBB, but I believe Vertical Scope killed it.

So, do y'all like the factory "cage" and B pillars? They look like ass to me.
Quick question, which cages have you seen? Because there is pictures of one without the plastic parts that cover the color and the one without.. Well I say the top one has plastic covers, it sure as hell don't look like bare metal like the bottom one..

Edit... Idk what cage in a production vehicle looks better than this.

Lol. I mean honestly I haven't thought about their "look" and I doubt most people here have either because it is what it is. Some of the plastic and spot welds don't look great but I also don't think we've seen a full on 100% certain "production/factory" roll cage either. ?‍♂ Either way it definitely looks better than the wrangler roll cage.

And in order to be as safe as possible and pass crash test I don't think there is anyway the roll cage is bolted on. That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I’m actually sorta surprised by some of the responses here. Especially since months ago there was speculation about the bronco having a removable roll cage due to ford filing of a patent for just that.

Do Jeeps still come with bolt on cages or are they welded in? I've only been in a newer Jeep once and I don't remember.

On this forum I have seen folks refer to what is normally considered a roll bar as a "sports bar". The B pillar is the B pillar.

I don't have anything "worked up". I haven't gotten my hands on a vehicle yet to work something up. It may not even be work up able(with in reason).

I believe the panels for the top use the "sport bar" as it's attachment points, so when you put a real roll bar in it, you will need to burn some tabs on it that will allow the top to attach to.

Pretty much. Currently camping, bad service, somehow single button click turned into waaay too many posts, not sure what happened.
