What about the weight addition? ARB twin is 20lbs, and assume the mount and hardware is 5+. How is functionality with the added weight, and did anyone try with a tailgate support?

A gen2 could also double as a tailgate support if you stretched it to the hinges. Love it though, interested in seeing some feedback here!

The wiring harness goes from the compressor through our Modular Tailgate Pass-Through, giving you a water tight seal. From there, it is routed through the hinge using the factory wire loom to the interior of the vehicle (where the factory subwoofer is located). This is where you will need to extend the ARB harness from, and it is an easy spot to tie into upfitter switch. From there we ran our large power wires through the interior of the vehicle and exited through a grommet on the firewall.

Any issues being this far from the battery? I remember someone mentioning in another thread that ARB’s instructions say the distance from the battery was a limiting factor.

We had similar concerns when developing this product, so we reached out to ARB to get their opinion. Attached is a screenshot of their response.

We recommend using the Expedition Essentials Extended wire harness that ARB recommended. The harness we made for testing purposes was built to the same specs, and there have been no issues.

The ARB compressor is sealed for moisture and dust resistance, and has IP55 waterproof/dustproof fans.

When using the Modular Tailgate Pass-Through and supplied cord grip, weather/moisture is not an issue.

When using the optional Filter Relocation Kit, the air intake is routed to the interior of the vehicle for completely weatherproof operation.

Here is a picture of the Filter Relocation Kit installed on the backside of the Modular Tailgate Pass-Through. Can not show it installed because it is hidden inside the tailgate.
