This past weekend I helped judge a rock crawling competition and a Samurai with a spring under leaf spring suspension and 37s smoked it's class. That thing was amazing and crawled over everything. It was the only vehicle to finish the course I was assigned to.

Phase 2 of my independence from the Bronco is complete. V10, 4x4, 6 speed. Between it and the Zuk my transportation needs are covered.

That V10 is a beast and surprisingly not as bad on gas as one might think.

I am in a similar boat.
With my new to me jeep and the wife's 2021 Ranger, I could skip on the Bronco.
As I have not seen or been able to drive a 2dr yet, though, I want to at least check it out when it arrives.

13.77 on the 300 mile drive home. I'll take it.

I still want the Bronco and still might buy it to flip, but a lot of the excitement has worn off from the top fiasco and I frankly don't need the payment in my life right now. I have under 10k into the SD and Zuk, paid in cash, and they'll cover my needs while I reset life.

Since my Bronco is still MIA indefinitely I dropped a few bucks on the Zuk. They're running a sale now and I stacked a second coupon the get a total of 20% off.

I was thinking of doing 33s but 31s will take fewer modifications right now. I think the next step after this would be yota axles and 35-37s.

Small improvements to the zuk. Built a cradle/skid plate, gearing it with a 6.5:1 low kit, and put on the one tire that showed up so far. The 31s will probably have just as much clearance as a Bronco on 35s.

There's some advantages to being under 3000lb, tiny cheap winches are sufficient.

Still no Bronco so the Zuk did Hangover Run duty. Met another Samurai and a X-90. Probably 100 rigs out there but no Broncos.

I also talked my 9 year old into driving for the first time. Super proud dad moment.

So my wreckage from last weekend pushed me into a decision. I'm still going to do some light wheeling with the Bronco but it's a daily driver first and foremost. So it's time to make the zuk a beast and spare the Bronco from the worst.

Hunting down parts now. It's going to be on Toyota axles with e-lockers, links, and 38s.
