That would be perfect on the Bronco. I was reading the Ranger forums and there’s some guys in the 13s with tunes. Pretty good for a 4000lb truck. I had an 03 350z which though I didn’t drag race they were maybe high 13-14 sec cars. Would be cool to have a Bronco that’s quicker than my 350z was:)
Again, this was without a Downpipe and with a non-ford tuner Cobb tune, so with the extra stuff, can be better (also 93)

Yeah, I bet, that's the great thing about turbo engines, easy power and quicker than a compatible NA engine making similar power, or as Jeremy Clarkson says

I don't like the engagement point on the Mustang with regular 6 speed. The Tremec on the GT350/Mach1 is SO MUCH BETTER.

The transmission in your Audi is similar to what I had in a GTI. I like the catch point/engagement point better than the MT-82 in the Mustang. However, I think MT-82 is better when running through the gears. I wouldn't expect the pin point accuracy of something like the transmission in the Civic Si.

All that being said, this has complete different ratios and mission than a manual in a sports car. It will be a different feel, but I would expect a quality shift feel.

And if not, Aftermarket can take care of it.

What Gen GTI did you have btw?

MKV. I had a few MKV VWs. A Jetta 2.5, Jetta 2.0T, GLI, GTI, and an R32. The GTI was a 2009.
Damn, sounds like quite a collection

Had good luck with VW/Audi's, test drove a mk6 GLI and got an interview during the solo test drive.

Ex had a Mk7 Golf 1.8t, took it on an Epic Roadtrip (NM to Denver to Kansas City to Chattanooga to Pigeon Forge back to Jersey), few simple mods really transformed it (APR st1, Rear Sway Bar, LED headlights)

Gotta tell me about the R32, MkIV I presume

Yeah, the 2006 2.5L was my first MKV and I added after that. I discovered that I could lease them and sell them at lease end and make money. I only had the R32 for a year. My wife and I moved the Arizona and it did not like the desert heat. My wife still misses "her" GTI. She drives a MKX 2.7TT Black Label, so she doesn't complain too much.

APR mods really wake up VW turbo engines. There are similar tunes for the Ford 2.0T and 2.3T as well.

I know all too well for the 2.3t, all I didn't do bolt on wise on my old Mustang was a Catback

WRT the specific 7 speed MT available on the Bronco....I understand this is a brand new design. Should I be leery about the ruggedness and reliability? The 2.3L, 2.7L and 10 speed auto seem to be proven components. This is a completely new product. Ive read about the problems and subsequent lawsuit over the Mustang's MT. I definitely want the MT but don't want headaches even if Ford does recalls on it to attempt to correct issues

We don’t know about reliability yet, but we will find out once tuners get ahold of some new Broncos. The 7mt is rated to 442 lb ft torque but there’s probably room for more.

Looking forward to a truck with a millennial anti-theft device .....
Out of everyone in my circle, I'd say half of them know stick, other half will be stuck with their dicks in one hand and a 1000 yard stare in the other
if Toyota brought back a manual transmission removable top 4Runner with a new motor, I probably wouldn’t be on here.. Toyota should have stepped up with a competitor for the Wrangler. I want a removable top manual transmission 4x4 and my only options are a classic 4Runner/landcruiser/Bronco or a Wrangler.
Imagine a 2/4dr FJ w/a B58/V8 and stick

That'd just be brutal

But we can’t buy them if they won’t build them. ??‍♂
If they built it for the 2.7's, what would the take rate for the 2.3's be?
