Nope, the locking diffs are OPTIONAL on the Badlands. SO I have to PAY for a badlands AND then pay some more for front and rear locking diffs. It is starting to get really expensive.
No they're not optional, they're standard. Levine clarified that on Twitter.

That I have no idea. Let me take a look at that infographic for the 19th time today (I hate this lol).
It looks like the BIlstein's are standard on the badlands. That is why not being able to have the SAS at lower trim levels makes no sense.

I guess I just talked myself into a manual badlands vs the black diamond.

I think I'd be way more pissed if I wasn't getting a Badlands tbh. Like if I was planning on Base + Sasquatch I'd be pissed enough to start pricing Jeeps.

Exactly.

I must have the marine vinyl, so it was either black diamond or badlands. I feel better and worse.

I wonder if any of the other options are ala carte (like heated seats or the garage door opener).

The Taco is the first car/truck where I really optioned it out and other than Apple CarPlay I don't use any of it. The "leather" is fine but it's not something I love/need. So I want to go as Spartan as possible with as much ability as I can get--but with a stick.

I agree, but there are certain options the wife is going to want. I don't really care.

Still, there is no TECHNICAL reason they can't offer the SAS package to MTers

If they do offer the SAS for MT, I might just get the base and the SAS....then pull out the carpet and buy the marine vinyl seats.

I am going to cancel my reservation and see how this plays out. We have another year before this is delivered, so I need to stop getting in a tizzy about it.

Take care.

I was still on board with the 2.3 + manual, though slightly disappointed. The killer was the abysmal 3500lb towing capacity

I have a feeling that will change with the 4 door + towing package. There's just no way that all engines, transmissions, packages, trims, and lengths have the same tow rating. Also, the individual specs are officially "TBD"

The Sasquatch on the Badlands and a manual was where I wanted to go so this news is a disappointment. If truthfully the only thing you give up here is the 35" tires and the 4.7 ratio then I could still be interested but it is has me looking at Jeep Gladiators again for some reason.

I think that there is more to come here and we will keep learning more and more. I am hoping that as we keep getting into this thing I can justify that Badlands, stick combo.
