so here's a question that may have been answered already. I have a BLSquatch. I am looking to put on 37s. I am backordered with the rest of the world for coilovers. Hopefully I see them by March or April.

I am in the Northeast and can avoid going offroad until I have the coilovers.
could I conceivably put the 37s on the with the standard set up I have and not worry about rub since I'll be on road? or if I cut off the remaining crash bar stubs, at least help it out a bit?

ideally I'd like to sell my Squatch 35s/wheels before I get too much mileage on them..

You should be okay with 37's pre-lift, on mild ground, with trimming, several have tried it, look at these links.

Here are the ones I have found to put 37's on their Squatch.

Who put 37s on their Sasquatch no lift?

I can safely state that you do not need a lift with a 295/70R17, so based on this data

Old = 275/70R18
New = 295/70R17

ParameterOldNewDifference
Overall diameter:33.2"33.3"+0.1" (+0.3%)
ok_icon.png
Section width10.8"11.6"+0.8" (+7.3%)
Circumference104.2"104.5"+0.3" (+0.3%)
Sidewall height7.6"8.1"+0.6" (+7.3%)
Revs per mile:608.3606.4-1.9 (-0.3%)
ClearanceClearance changes to 0.1"

You should be good to go without any lift. Here is my OBX - No lift. One caveat, I went from a +55 Offset to a +30 Offset, which moved my tires out 0.6" (which when considering the section width (11.6" - 10.8")/2 = 0.4") the difference means that at most you are talking less than 1/4" of inside clearance lost compared to my Bronco.

Bronco M1.jpg

Ya, you miss out on the electronic Sway Bar Disconnect with the OBX, but really, did you need it for "Mild" to "Moderate" trails... No. Don't stress it... sure the SBD is nice to have, but not worth giving up carpet (or cloth seats in South Texas) for. If I could have had any interior I wanted, I too, might have gone for the Badlands... But I have no regrets.

What wheels and tires are you running on that 2dr carbonized grey? I have the exact same build and love the look of your set up?

I’m not entirely sure how to read the chart but… maybe someone here who can read it can help me?

will 285/70/17R fit a non Sas Big Bend without a lift or level?

what’s the largest size tire that can fit non Sas Big Bend without a lift or level?

Thank you.

See "Lift needed for larger tires" image.

For 33" tires (285/70/17R) you need a minimum lift of 0.67" for maximum clearance. If you're staying on the street you will be fine with no lift, but watch out for speed bumps. If going off-road, you want to add a 1" lift. If you want larger tires, follow this chart for maximum off-road capability.

So I need a little help. Bought the below Bilsteins with the seller representing they came from a 2.7L 4 Door Non-Tow Badlands Sasquatch. I'm suspecting these are Badlands Non-Sas struts. Can someone take a look & advise?

Thanks in advance.

Those are Sasquatch, the clue/giveaway is the reservoir, see below. Badlands point up, 1/2" from spring perch. Sasquatch point down, with a 2"-3" gap.

Look at the 1" weld block where the reservoir attaches to the shock body.

@North do you have any insight on OEM alignment specs on the Sasquatch setup with the 35's?

Alternatively, you can use 33.5" with no lift, but you might want to offset the wheel less positively (+30). I am currently running 295/70R17 and even getting full articulation with the stock OBX suspension, there was 0 interference with any suspension or body parts.

Is there a mapping of the Bilstein part numbers to the Ford MB3Z- numbers?

e.g. in @RustysBronco example, the shock p/n starts with MB3C-10845 while the Ford p/n in the table starts with MB3Z-18125.

That is a great question for the resident Ford/parts dealer @flip, any insight?

To get the engineering number I would need to go through HVBOM and that would take too much time. The thing most guys need to know are the spring conversion.
