Can anyone provide a link that will convince all those who voted incorrectly?

Well, this thread, although entertaining, has become pretty much worthless

I ran 89 in my 2.7 Basesquatch for awhile and just switched to 87 octane. I noticed no difference at all. Given the significant amount of fuel it burns and if it will run fine on 87 and per the manual it is OK and premium is only recommended and NOT required, I'm going to run 87. It still has plenty of power running 87.

No Bronco yet (sigh) but with our previous FJ they originally recommended a higher octane than regular. The higher the octane seemed to get better MPG but technically that may be less economical so not sure that answer is on the list of choices. Then the manufacturer changed to say regular was okay to use so I switched. and let the computer tune the dang thing. Way too many factors in MPG, performance, etc. Like altitude, temperature.
