So anyone considering it? Had a 3" on my BII with 33 AP's. It was hard enough to align
that TTB junk the first 15 times, didn't want any part of doing it again after a lift.

Sure would be cheaper than lifting IFS. Wonder if Ford typically leaves enough wiring slack.
One good thing with everything electronic, no shifter, clutch rod, fan shroud, etc... issues.

Anyway, would be cool to get a rendering with everything known, then a body lift only and 35/36's or so.
Assume bumpers would need work, as they are highly integrated these days into body shape.

Seems like more of a 'for looks' approach. Nope.
I was thinking a combo. Possibly a less expensive shorter IFS "leveling" lift, combined with a 1.5" body.
Could be enough for say a 36 or so, maybe 37 if there is some kind of bolt on flare/wheelwell.

I'd certainly be open to the idea if it comes to it. Depends on what size tires fit with no mods at all.

Suspension is best. Don't like the idea of messing with the body stuff due the safety stuff built into new vehicles. (i.e. airbags, proximity sensors)

If you do a body lift to fit larger tires it isn't really for looks.
That's precisely what it's usually for. Bigger tires without most of the higher clearance.

It works for some mud vehicles because they're not really driving over anything, but through it. Even then you're probably still getting more drag than with a similar suspension lift.

What would the point be paying for 2 different type of lifts when for the same price you could just do 1 suspension lift that is the hight you want? Just curious what the benefits would be if they would be most likely the same cost in the end?

Because too much suspension lift means you start running in to issues with driveline angles? Idk if that's true in all cases?

In extreme cases both may be needed to manage driveline angles.

Some of it is aesthetic. You can fit longer travel shocks in without punching through the hood or interior with some body lift eventually.

Frinesi2 he was only referring to a total of 2-3” at most. But I do see what you mean.

Body lifts are $1-200. The difference between a 1.5-2" or 4" IFS lift could be thousands if you start
having to drop subframes or buy new A-arms, etc.... Obviously, a small IFS lift would be a compromise
of travel and could have issues for re-alignment. Won't know until we see final design.

Mine would most likely get one, as I will be swapping to a V-8 at some point.
Hoping they make a 7.3 Godz/10 Spd control pack, eventually.

I get what you mean, that FSB in my profile pic has a 2" body lift.

Fuck body lifts. holy crap they are nothing but issues. And from an engineering stand point, they are down right dangerous and stupid. I would suggest not doing them at all. If you must, no more than 1-1.5"

I'd guess a stout winch bumper messes with those more (especially overall crash "dynamics") than a body lift, but I get what you are saying.

Can you tell us how you really feel, LOL.
I guess 8-10" coil spring spacers are out then??
