Yes, the 2.3L didn't quite see the gains that the 2.7L did. Keep in mind that every dyno reads a little bit different. We used an average between the 2.3L/2.7L to get that range.

If you run 87oct and switch to premium fuel, whether that be 93 or 91, your gains will be even greater than what you see on the graph!
Glad I read this before buying. Doesn’t seem worth it for a 2.3L. How do you trust a brand that mixes stats between two different engines to sell a product.

1. Does switching octanes affect motor performance over time w or w/o tune.

2. Do you have a tune and exhaust bundle available. I’m a fan of borla and the deep throaty borla sound.

1. We recommend 91+ on maps 5+. If you want to run under then going to 87 etc is perfectly fine.

2. Yes we do I will shoot you a message!

Sounds great!!
I was always told to stick with an octane for the life of an engine. Is this an old mechanics tale?

One other question. Will this be pretty similar to the ford performance tune given the limitations of the motor ?

Personally I think so. Now I would recommend keeping higher octane in the car. 91/93 will provide a cleaner burn and has a better additive package than 87 as well for internal cleaning etc.

The ford performance tune will most likely be a flash where this is a plug n play module. Will it net similar results? yes but this will be easier to install and non traceable.

Thank you
