I don't think that's going to give anyone any peace of mind. Instead, I think it'll end up making people angry when they see Ford skipped them over to build someone else's with a later time stamp. Or people will start freaking out when Ford changes the number of allocations each scheduling period. At this point, it's a game of bronco bingo. Whoever's build sheet can be built first, will.
Bronco Bingo, that's the perfect way to describe it! If SAC starts releasing builds, they'll bear the brunt of pissed off customers, through no fault of your own.

@StephensAutoCenter According to FoMoCo Instagram post today which answered questions submitted by customers posed yesterday, FoMoCo does blatantly state that units are being built using dealer allocation as one factor. Therefore, it clearly sounds to me that all dealers have an allocation for MY22 which is not what has been communicated to us from SAC. Are you able to please advise us as to what your allocation is for MY22? Are you also able to provide us with an updated list, based on timestamp order, of undelivered units? I think we all understand the various factors at play here, but some of us do need to anticipate some window as to when we could potentially see our vehicles.

My Ford rep told us there's no hard number for allocations, it's based on commodities and "if they can build it, they will". If there's an allocation and my Ford rep was wrong, they haven't given us any numbers.

As for "undelivered units". I have 268 orders in for 2022, about 30 of those are reservations after March 19, which I believe will be tossed to 2023. So, around 238 for 2022 orders. That being said, if it were a total 100% allocation, we should see about 19.8 being scheduled per-month, we have 17 scheduled for the first month of production, which is not far off.

Several of the 268 that are on order will cancel before taking delivery or being scheduled.

Our allocation for 1/2 of 2021 was 108, which we are taking delivery of 85 I believe. Our original allocation was 70. While we're not getting all they promised, we're getting more than originally allocated.

Those are EXTRA Fords sold by us that we would not have seen, which, in the allocation formula (if it exists), would increase our allocation overall. Therefore, at 1/2 a year, if 2021 was 108, then 2022 would be 216+.

Remember, this is ALL BASED ON COMMODITIES not just time stamps. Therefore, the folks getting selected can be ANYWHERE in our list because those above them may have Widget #3 and isn't available, so, the system moves down the list to the next eligible build that doesn't have Widget #3.

I've attached the list of reservations, comparing where they all fall within timestamp order.

KEY: Blue = Ordered, Tan = Scheduled, White = no order (yet), other colors were notes for me earlier on and not cleared.

These numbers can change over time. If someone that's deferred to 2023 already (not shown) decides to get back in the hunt, the number will increase. And if someone chooses to defer and go "99", the number will go down. It is a dynamic list.

Thank you so much John, this is extremely helpful. I know the communication on Ford's end has been less than par and confusing at times. Completely understand the constraints, fluidity and the possibility of being skipped several times for production. I appreciate the detail and this does help ease my mind.

One customer just replied (I sent the last post above to everyone on an email blast) -

"...it's like hitting the supply chain lottery."

No truer words about Broncos have been spoken.

If any customer is surprised by anything on that list, they've had their head in the sand for the last year. Ford has made it clear they were going to build a Bronco with the parts available. As you can see from the list, the majority of the scheduled orders came from the 1st page which means that the reservation timestamp still matters a little. As you mentioned, SAC has no control over who gets scheduled.

Thanks John. This helps me too. After 17 months of waiting, I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. If SAC allocations and commodities hold, I should be seeing you in April. Guess I better get the sport ordered as well. Might pick up both at the same time

Here's some more data. I can't give you a breakdown of MIC vs. Soft because it's not included with the data I get from Ford in a spreadsheet format. I may be able to find that somewhere in the future, but it's not known at this time.

This is what's been ordered (236 actual orders so far). There's 32 that's holding out and are planning to order 2022's and another 49 that have deferred (99) to 2023.

Above and beyond as usual. Keep it up and they'll probably make a 14' tall bronze statue of you someday. Or you'll get sainted

Thanks again to John for being so forthcoming with all the information. It's much appreciated.

I've really "zenned out" on this whole thing. I'm number 140-something in line, and have a 2-door Badlands on order. Not holding my breath. Sounds like it'll be this time next year, if I even make the 2022 cut at all.

No worries. Gives me more time to spend with my beloved Subaru that'll end up getting traded in on the Bronco.

John--came across this post from Zach at Granger over the weekend, detailing their allocations for 2022.

We published that our first month of allocation was received from Ford for the 2022 model year and we received 11 Broncos. For the second month of production we received 20 Broncos and they have all been assigned VINS. We await the 3rd month of allocation figures and I'd anticipate receiving those around Christmas time and VINS assigned within a few weeks of that.
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/december-update-granger-ford.29784/

Please ask your Ford Rep to explain why Granger is getting monthly allocation figures, but you (apparently) are not. It would be helpful to get this info.

Those are "scheduled" and would of course be the "allocation". We have received 17 for the first 30 days of production in 2022.

When we speak of normal allocation, we are talking about a number that Ford gives us well before they schedule any for the upcoming year/quarter/month.

The above isn't normal, this is AFTER the scheduling has taken place. This number, while it does work out to the monthly "allocation" is in reality, the monthly scheduled builds.

At 17, we are right on track to receive all that are currently ordered with reservations prior to March 19. Again, it's just a guess, but my gut tells me that post March 19 2021 reservation holders will be pushed to 2023.

The last list I attached has 236 ordered (out of 268 possibles + 40 deferred). 236/12 = 19.66, which is close to 17. I anticipated 20-30 being dropped due to cancellations or future deferrals to 2023, which would bring the number down to 211 and 211/12 = 17.58.
