The goal posts moved once again this morning. Concerning our "allocation", I inquired with our Ford rep as to what ours is for 2022, as it would be nice to tell our customers as I am putting in orders... this is what I got in reply:

".... We are not going to send out the total allocation amounts this production year, it will be based off the commodities that each customer has and what's available to build. "

That, to me, reads like we'll get everything that is buildable, based on commodities (and probably) in timestamp order.
Thanks. Will be interesting to see if this represents a real retreat, or just a hiding of the allocation information.

I have no idea until it shakes out. I just looked on Ford.com and the 2021 Bronco page is still showing.

John -
You have to start fresh on the ford.com site and then go into SUV & Crossovers and you will see the Bronco 2022 Build & Price link/update.

Ford surely doesn't want to deal with the inevitable PR nightmare of reservation holders at the 'Big 3' small dealers having to wait until like 2025 to get their Broncos while Ford is shipping dealer stock in early '23. I'm sticking with Stephens, and trusting that Ford will find a way to prioritize fulfilling reservations, regardless of their 'published' allocation formula.

If it doesn't shake out that way, Ford's ballyhooed 'reservation' system will crash and burn before it even gets off the ground. And they'd lose a LOT of potential customers, probably for life.

May have been asked and answered (sorry) but…

Does anyone know if we order add-ons (say tube doors and mesh top) if that could potentially delay a build or are they looked at independently?

I have it built and saved to my Ford account. How do I get this information to you?

I will call you in timestamp order and we'll verify your order over the phone.

During the last round of ordering, too many mistakes and things left out were made via email.

Well damn I just figured out how to send you a PDF of my build sheet. I'm jumping the gun a bit too much this morning. I guess we can use it as a reference when you get to me. Thanks for all you do.

It literally takes less than 10 minutes to place an order over the phone if I don't need to look at a PDF in the process. If I have to go through a PDF as well as speak to someone on the phone, it will add time to the phone call, if I have to look at PDF while entering in the info into the Ford ordering system, it takes longer than going over everything on the phone.

Phone calls are quicker.

@StephensAutoCenter

When you say "If the Ford system doesn't update with your most current build after you've went into the MY22 B&P tool and updated it...", are you referring to 'Saved Builds'? Can you see those on your end? Because there is no way I can see to tie a particular build to a reservation.

The actual reservation that's listed in our accounts as 'Ordering with dealer' has no options except 'Contact dealer'.

From an email I received from Ford, they led me to believe you could update your build that's already in the system (I can't see any of this as I do not have an order in). If not, then we'll get to it when I call you.

If we want a MOD top, can we email you to stay priority 99?

Yes, and give the reason for the 99 as I will document it in the order remarks.
