These roof panels are garbage and Ford should be ashamed of themselves.

Took my Bronco in several times for wind noise coming through the roof panels, especially on cold days. After several trips and a TSB, the noise is now 10X worse than before. I get a super annoying whistling noise coming from 3 or 4 areas. My son has to wear headphones whenever he is in, and the family refuses to do any trips for more than 30 mins. (I can't blame them!) All the dealership can do is escalate the issue to Ford corporate and wait. It's been 2 months now with no word, and the service shop just throws their hands up. I see a bunch of threads of people spending time and money trying to fix their own issues with the top. What a shitty product.
I have a 2024 2-door and 20242 4-door. No wind noise whatsoever, summer or winter.

How did you get an Outer Banks trim in Pennsylvania anyway? You're supposed to be from North Carolina or Virginia to own one.

Just bought one with a painted top and so far the noise isn't terrible. Definitely not as quiet as my wife's 4runner but also not annoyingly loud. reads at about 68-70 decibels when cruising at 70mph. There is definitely a bit of wind and road noise though

Itā€™s not that bad. Just keep it under 65 and avoid windy days and donā€™t consider your Bronco a daily driver. Iā€™m in Wyoming and we know a thing or two about wind.

Sorry to hear that. I got the soft top which has been holding up extremely well. No leaks, a little noisy. I give it a couple of more years and will pull the plug for a new aftermarket hard top ! Good luck with Ford ! They are a joke !

Mine was pretty good until I added the roof rack, then more with the RTT. The worst part though is that it really wasn't terrible for removable top plus all of the extra noise makers. However, after Ford replaced all of my MIC top and I put the rack and tent back on, the noise is massively worse and louder than prior under, more or less, identical conditions.

I've got a soft top, so when there's a super strong crosswind, I can feel it šŸ˜‚

The design is definitely poor IMO. I own a 2021 Wrangler as well (because why not both?), and the top on there is night and day. Very little wind noise, it's probably 85% as good as a roof/top which isn't removable.

We should all take readings of our interior noise volume, just to start setting a baseline.
Is there an app for that??

Both my MIC 2dr and softy 4dr (that I had for a short while) , I felt were OK in the noise department ... for what they are.
We have done several multi-day high mileage road trips in each and really haven't had an issue .... summer or winter.
That being said, there ave been a few tips posted that I'd like to try that seem plausible in lowering the db's.
Apple watch will do it or even iPhone apps are free for this. I had 90 dB at highway speed with the Flow FX exhaust. so yeah, that came off. I wish all exhaust reviews consistently did measured sound.

Itā€™s not built as good as it could be and neither is the soft top. But being light weight, multiple removable pieces and an otherwise non sound deadened off road vehicle it goes along with the rest of the vehicle. Iā€™m sure it will improve if sales slide.

I recently got a bit of blow through on the seals with all the wind so on a recent warm-up day I used silicone and greased up the seals. It stopped all but the >50 mph gusts and quieted the top a bit. The amount that I used may have been a little excessive as it accumulates on the top of the windows, but I'll take it.

Using the NIOSH sound meter app @ 70mph, measured at headrest:
Without wind: 70-72 dBA
With wind: 72-75 dBA
Top Age -- 33 months

I also have performed the MIC Hard Top Wind Noise @BroncoWhisperer performed, less stripping out the front seal as mine was reasonable, but I'll inspect it all this spring when I switch to rag top.

I have to readjust the top multiple times to get the panels to seat properly.

Ideally, the top would be 70 dBA and less which OSHA says unlimited amount of time in this environment is acceptable.

My 2-dr BL is definitely louder inside than my ā€˜06 Wrangler Unlimited with the hard top but the Jeep top doesnā€™t have all of the seams & seals for front removable panels like the Bronco does. When I did the Off Roadeo in Moab I drove a 2-door that had the sound insulation on the inside of the roof and it did seem quieter than mine. All that said, the noise really only bothers me when Iā€™m driving over ~60mph or am talking on the phone. If I wanted a quiet vehicle, Iā€™d buy a Lexus (my sonā€™s 21-year-old GX470 is a great vehicle for being as old as it is!!).
