These roof panels are garbage and Ford should be ashamed of themselves.

Have you not seen the photos of some of these roofs? It's a shitty product straight up regardless of how great you think yours is. Nobody forced you to come into this thread. You can always just ignore threads like this that you find annoying.
I literally just stated my opinion and OP replied to mine over all the others saying the same thing. If you think you’re any better than more power to you lol you also could have ignored it

When did I say it wasn’t a problem?
"People on here just like to complain."

That's when you "said" it. It's unnecessary comments like this that inevitably make just about every post on any forums now-a-days devolve into the realm of reality television.

The fact that it's happening to several owners is a problem end of story. Why can't people understand this? Just because the majority of people on the planet don't have cancer, it doesn't mean it's not a big problem for the human race.
Consumer Reports notes wind noise in both the Wrangler and Bronco above 50mph.

Owners report a satisfaction rating of 4/5 vs Wrangler of 3/5.

67/100 for comfort vs 38/100 for the Wrangler, with comfort including wind noise.

72% of owners would purchase again vs 65% of Wrangler owners.

It’s a problem for you, but it isn’t a “problem” - it outperforms the competition and isn’t preventing the vehicle for selling.

Quality comes at a price point. They could make it quieter and charge $1000 more, but only if the market will support it.

From a statistical standpoint, it might be fine - even if your experience isn’t satisfactory.

This was said in a previous response, but I think we are dealing with two different classes of noise here:
  1. It's loud just because it's loud, and as loud as any other Bronco.
  2. It's annoyingly loud and/or includes loud whistling noises that are far above that of any other Bronco.
Mine is #2, and I suspect others in this thread are as well.

And you just contributed to it too, good job!

If you read ANY of this thread, I wasn’t the only one to say it. Mine just got attention

I have, and for the people who have good hardtops, this seems like whining. For the people who have bad hardtops, they don't understand how the situation is even tolerable to anyone.

My 2021 Bronco's hardtop was so bad that I needed hearing protection at highway speeds and couldn't hear the B&O sound system below 20. This was an OBX lux package with the factory sound deadening on the MIC top.
It's hyperbole such as this that makes it seem like whining. Seriously, I can listen to my non-B&O system just fine and carry on a conversation with my passengers even when the whole top is off and on interstate, LMAO .

I took off the factory roof rack, that helped reduce wind noise considerably
Really, I didn't notice any change in noise when I installed mine?

Roof racks are aerodynamically problematic and widely experienced to be sources of significant NVH (at speed) and the cause of reduced gas mileage. Perhaps your Bronco is just so noisy from all the other sources you did not notice the change lol :ROFLMAO:

Just putting this out there... Ford does currently make a Bronco without a removable top that's also capable of traversing various mall parking lots.

Jokes aside, although this top is a little quieter than my 92s, most of that noise came from behind my head where as this top is noisy between the front 2 panels. & that does get a little annoying if I'm taking my parents anywhere or talking to others riding with me. IDK, I'm still just excited to have it after the hellish wait, & 90% of the time it's just me in it. If I ever get around to it, I may add some of the extra weather striping I've seen others do to those front panels. But honestly I just crank up the music & I'm fine.

I am serious, I had to wear noise canceling headphones to drive the 6 hours from Corpus Christi to San Angelo too many times to count. It took several months to get my top sorted out. You can call it hyperbole all you want, but the noise was legitimately that bad.

In my girlfriends 2023, it was never a problem to carry on a conversation and it was easy to hear her non-B&O sound system. This is my point exactly, if you have not experienced it, you will never understand.

Attached is the only thing I can think of for adjustment. I smoke tested my top. There are 14 leaks. I can live with 13 of them, but the one in the center of the front panels produces a loud whistle. It's been to the dealer, and like others, is now worse after they replaced the seal. I've taken the entire top off, lubed all of the seals, and there is no difference. I adjusted the front panel receivers and it also made no difference.

The front left rotating latch of my right panel has zero tension on it, which I suspect is related but don't see any way to adjust that.

My first car was a '66 with a soft top, so I can appreciate some noise, but we've come a long way since 1966 with most aspects of the Bronco.
Thanks for this.

I've experienced riding without a top completely quite often. Are you trying to say your top was louder than having no top at all ? lol

I own two broncos so I may as well chime in. My 23 WT top leaks from the front driver side panel in downpours. The flimsy cover over the front passenger side latch ticks incessantly. I removed it to get rid of that and now I’ve confirmed my suspicion that the passenger front panel ticks and rattles as well. There is wind noise, but I expected that. There is some bubbling on the top of the rear section as well. Not enough to replace it yet, but it’s trending that way.
My wife’s 23 OBX had the whole rear section replaced due to cracks around the rear windows. No leaks or ticks/rattles with hers thus far.

I love the Bronco (hence why I have two). But I’m not a fanboy of anything. Issues should be disclosed and discussed. The hardtop has numerous well known issues so when fanboyz come on and just trash the person bringing it up- just makes them look stupid. The hardtop has been a debacle since day one. Just because your particular one is issue free doesn’t discount the hundreds (or thousands) of others whose hardtops have issues. So if you can’t stand the thought that something Ford made is a shoddy design with many issues- move on to the other blind follower threads and fanboy away.

I also have performed the MIC Hard Top Wind Noise @BroncoWhisperer performed, less stripping out the front seal as mine was reasonable, but I'll inspect it all this spring when I switch to rag top.

I have to readjust the top multiple times to get the panels to seat properly.
I can second this as a solution that worked for me. I've had issues off and on with wind noise in my Bronco, especially when it gets down below 20F and it can get unbearably loud below 0F at high speed. When I typically drive to work in the morning I would have to turn the radio volume up to 20+ to hear it over the wind noise.

This winter I got fed up and decided to give @BroncoWhisperer's Wind Noise Reduction a try. The "pool noodle" on the sides and foam strips on the front solved the problem for me. It's not quiet inside by any stretch but the obvious whistling and howling wind sounds are gone. I can listen to the radio with the volume around 13-14 now even on cold mornings. The only downside is that it was rather difficult to get the panels seated and locked.
