Yes Lux has a time out. I think its 30 min.
No time out on mine. Have used it many times after the Bronco hadn't been driven in days. 2021 Badlands w/Lux.

Same. It would annoy the shit out of me if it was any different.

Because I don't have Lux, I have my garage door opener hidden and hooked up to an aux switch. It won't work without ACC power.

Security through obscurity.
Great idea. Can you share how you did it and in layman's terms?

Unless you take other measures, the remote is the least of your worries.

Did a drunk write up on it. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/garage-door-opener-on-aux-switch.27978/

In TLDR fashion, crack open garage door opener and locate the button that opens/closes the door on the circuit board, solder leads to it so that the circuit will close when the leads are touched together (you're by passing the button or extending the button so the aux switch is the trigger). Remove battery. Ground one lead and the other to a aux wire for power.

There was a thread last year about this when I got my Badlands lux package. It does time out. You might have to lock the doors. I had the top and doors off last week and needed to get in my garage and the visor wouldn't work.

Iā€™m wondering if this can be adjusted/modified through Forescan.

My lift mast garage door open has the ability to disable remote controls. I use it when parking outside. Iā€™m think most new openers have this function.

Thieves break into cars more than homes. If they come across a remote they may open it and seecwhat they can make off with.
Had this happen to me once. At first I thought someone forgot to close a garage door and later in the day put things together and realized what happened was someone forgot to lock the car door. I donā€™t program the openers anymore but will check for a timeout. I have an opener that works through my Vera and alerts me if opened on my phone.

Thanks. Iā€™ll check out the other post and look into electric for dummies in case I want to take a stab at it.
