After reading the article, they are convinced this is a Bronco test mule. If true, my guess is Ford just threw a chopped up Colorado body on to throw us all off?????

Probably a combination of throwing us off and getting tired of commenters complaining about the looks of the FrankenRanger mule we saw before even though it's nothing like what the finished Bronco will be.

I doubt Ford pays much attention to commenters complaining online. If they paid any attention at all, then we’d have a V8 option. Instead, it’s a certainty that we’ll get a whiny turbo 4-cylinder or *maybe, just maybe* a small liter V6.

5-lug wheels are an interesting choice.
that is what has me the most confused. I cannot find any current mid sized or larger SUV/trucks with 5 lugs. Troller, Everest, Ranger, Colorado, baby Bronco, all 6 lugs.

Whatever this thing is I hope and pray it is in no way related to the Bronco. The lower A-arm is way too dang low, and I do not want a watts linkage, or at least certainly not one mounted that low on the axle.. Give me leafs or a 4-link w/ coilovers in the back preferably (and same for upfront with a SFA!).

If it was the Courier there wouldn't seem to be much of a size difference from the Ranger.
