Those still waiting to hear from their dealer since they reserved (not A,D or Z plan)

Please help me understand. I continue to see multiple posts by B6G users that state they are waiting on their dealer to reach out to them about price, ordering, etc.

You're about to order a vehicle that for the majority of Americans costs more than they make in a year. Yet you have no clue about what kind of deal you can get, are you likely to get a MY21 or MY22, etc.

Are you:

- normally a passive person
- don't like the level of conflict that may arise when talking to a dealer
- just take whatever's offered
- don't like to be the first one to start a conversation
- loaded and just don't give a shit about money
- usually let me wife handle these types of things

I'm genuinely curious.

With nearly two months to convert everything I see nothing to worry about. As I've watched the changes from Ford come in the process evolve, I think of the words of this wise man.

I contacted my dealer to get the party started and found out their "Bronco Specialist" wasn't in the office today. After shitting down my leg, I just hung up.

My reservation was placed on July 31 with a reputedly large dealership. The rep told me over the weekend he would call me Monday (the 18th) to confirm my specs and put the order in.

1. I didn't get called
2. I wrote on Monday to ask if it was still happening
3. Heard nothing back and wrote again Tuesday
4. Wrote this morning and chatted with their support people
5. Just got a simple email a moment ago that says that My order isn't in yet and that he is waiting for his General Manager to confirm.

I'm not making anything out of the lack of an order yet. FWIW my vehicle is a bare bones Black Diamond 2.3/Manual.

I think people are missing the point of my OP.

Why are you waiting for your dealer to contact you? Why haven't you contacted them, multiple times if necessary.

And this isn't about ordering...it's about making sure you are comfortable with your pricing between you and the dealer.

I think there being 60 days left leaves plenty of time. Not everyone is as excited/anxious to get their order in. For many this is simply yet another new car theyre buying in their lifetime

I emailed the specialist at my dealer yesterday. He got back to me right away. He told me to build my desired bronco online, and then email him the build.

I then emailed him and asked him to tell me about pricing and confirm that they will honor x-plan pricing.

Radio silence....


Ugh.

I have had numerous emails with my service rep. I have talked about price and made sure that BS dealer packages would not be required for purchase. Have not heard about ordering yet, but my reservation was done on 7/24 and my dealer has around 200 reservations, so I imagine I am down the list for ordering.

I have 2 reservations. One dealers called after I made the reservation in July. I haven’t heard anything else from him in spite of having sent him two emails. The other dealer has reached out several times, kept me Informed, let me know in detail the order process and in reality - what to expect. Now which dealer should get my business. Kudos to Granger!
