Thought i was going to have to break a window

Today we ran an errand and when I returned to base I pulled into the garage,got out left phone and key fob on pass seat then went back to open tailgate it was locked. Went to drivers door and it was locked,pass side locked . My dog was inside luckily I had my spare fob upstairs in the safe I retrieved it and opened all doors with it.
All turned out okay but its warm today and if it had happened outside I would be smashing glass. Has anyone had this happen? I did a search and read every page of the manual on locks ,I also went into settings and looked around but saw nothing .
Any help would be appreciated mine is a base 2dr.

I make a mental habit to never leave my dog and key in at the same time, because if I do I know exactly where my dog is putting her foot.

Get the keypad? Its like 100 bucks and if you don't like it on the door you can mount in an alternate location

Absolutely I have it on my desk I just have to go in and have it programmed
But why did it lock?

No Idea why it would have locked but yea get that keypad programmed and at least you wont need to worry about it anymore. Glad it happened at home and the pup is ok!

probably the same gremlins that turn my lights on three times a night. Let us know if you figure it out.

This happened to my wifes escape with our twins on a cold day, heater was on and we were loading them in the back seat, went to open front doors to climb in and nope all 4 doors were locked and fob was sitting on the center console where she set it down to buckle in the little one. Pop a lock was there within 5 min and cops even showed up faster to make sure they were ok inside. Only 3 months old so they slept the whole time but we were all confused why it happened as never before and never again did it occure. With the bronco i just keep them in the pocket and never take them out when sitting inside.

guess not. I know if it were me it would be some dumb luck where my phone hit the lock button. If the vehicle is just doing it by itself that is scary.
