Hey all.

I've really had it with all the ticking and clicking and rattling and squeaking on this thing. I've managed to track damn near every last one down, but now there is a ticking in the driver side dash/footwell.

I t sounds just like the one from the tailgate, but I can't seem to locate it. Wires all tied back, panels secure, it really sounds like metal... Wondering if anyone else has had this and can give me some pointers

Do you have metal front inner fender liners? I have the Hooke Road ones and started hearing this recently. I traced it to a bolt on the vehicle rubbing the fender liner (metal on metal) . I cut down the bolt and it went away

Follow-up question, does the sound go away if you turn off your climate control?

Do not

Does not. Sounds like a newtons cradle it HAS to be metal on metal. Possibly a hard plastic way deep on metal.

I'll have to check in a few hours. If I had to guess, I'd say no sounds too 'in the cabin' if that makes sense.

Do you happen to have the a hood deflector?

Those have a bad habit of making the plastic covers on the roof mount points above the windshield rattle, and it sounds exactly like it's coming from behind the dashboard or driver's A-pillar.

I don't know, but I have direct experience with car sounds NOT coming from anywhere that it surely sounds like they "must" be coming from.

It's a matter of having two or three people in the car, listening for it. You can triangulate that way. But a single person can be fooled WAY too easily in that environment.

This has been true with at least 100% of all creaks, rattles and groans I’ve encountered with the Bronco to date.

my favorite is a tick I could have swore was coming from the passenger side back seat. It was the plastic trim cover over the windshield camera behind the rear view mirror…

After following you tips, still unable to locate it. I can't reproduce it at standstill.

Went away for a week and now its back, might just have to go in

I have a similar problem. A metal-to-metal vibration noise from the back of the dashboard or the door (at least it sounds like). I also noticed that it seems to be temperature-related. I can only hear it in the morning with a cold start. When I drive back in the afternoon, it is gone.

Will upload a clip of the noise. Sent it in but the dealer says unable to reproduce which I do not believe... they probably just don't want to deal with it.

Gonna wrap all the wires this weekend as well
