I will not be ordering a $3,000 rack or even braces.

I do think having a spare set on the shelf is cheap insurance though
It's $1600 for the hoss 3.0 steering kit....not 3k.

Actually I searched today and found the whole kit on sale for ONLY $946....this is cheaper and far better solution than the BB bandaids!!!!

This is exactly why I didn't add HOSS to my WT. I have no interest in Ford trying to electronically control my shocks when they can't even get the doors off right.

But I want the heavier duty steering And I'm hoping that it's reasonably priced.

This is exactly why I regret moving over to a Bronco platform from my 4Runner, absolute cringe with a splash of denial.
Because Toyota's don't break tie rods?
Or because Toyota's don't have fan boy apologists?
Or...?

Never heard of one snapping on a factory setup….in a driveway. Toyota fan club is all about who has slept in their RTT the least, and coolest place to mount your shovel.

Most everyone in this thread agrees there was existing damage or part defect.

OP didn't just 'turn around' in their driveway. They drove off the edge of the corner of a concrete slab and while not moving fore or aft turned the tires into the edge of that slab creating a wedge and putting extra stress on the TRE.

That said, and as I said previously, those stresses alone shouldn't have caused a non-damaged or non-defective TRE to bend and snap.

Not said by me in this thread is that I think Ford under-spec'd the tie rods and steering rack for Sasquatched (and maybe Badlands) Broncos. Those should all come with the upgraded Hoss 3 rack and tie rods. At the very least it should be an option on Sasquatch and Badlands.

It’s $2,500 just to upgrade your order. How are you getting a whole new rack and everythat comes with it for $1,600?

i haven’t even heard of anyone get the whole parts list priced out yet. The $3k was just what I assumed would be a low guess.

Portals are available this winter for the Bronco....look up 74weld. Some folks already have a few more sets all ready this yr for the KOH ...you know who you are!
I've seen those, but only in reference to KOH / racing.
How will they hold up running 80mph on the highway for hours on end?

TIBUS has done bolt on portals for G class for a while and I've heard a few of their early ones don't have enough oil / cooling and would destroy themselves on the highway. Mercedes OE portal axles (designed by LeTech) would have to meet Mercedes specs and warranty risk.
