One thing I noticed is that the door placard sticker recommends 39psi (cold) on my Sasquatch base. 39 psi cold could easily creep up to 45-48psi with some heat and/or lower elevation changes. However, the sidewall of the tire says 35psi (cold) is the max pressure. Why would the door placard suggest 39psi when Goodyear has a 35psi max on the sidewall. Attached are both images I took.

On the tire it does show up to 10psi additional is allowed (top line). Looks like ford is using that exception.

The sidewall doesn't exactly say 35 is the max pressure. Read it again, including the first line.

The tire sidewall isn’t telling you the maximum inflation pressure, it’s telling you the maximum load rating when the tire is inflated to 35 PSI.

Which is on the low side for a light truck tire. Must be a squishy tire.

Use the door info. The PSI on the tire is @Max load rating. Unless you plan on loading your rig with an additional 5000lbs of gear, you're fine.

35psi probably pretty close. I'm bringing a digital gauge with me when I pick up my truck. Many say the delivery pressures are pretty high.

They also might be saying 39 psi to improve mpg over a 35 psi tire

Anyone has a chance to do that chalk test? Just curious what psi everyone is using?

You’re not reading the sidewall correctly.

39psi is for a fully loaded vehicle. Since I'm usually alone in it with little cargo, I run mine at 35psi.

Just did chalk test on 315/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT.
32 PSI is where they will run for a while.
