So today I spent some time with the guys at Tredwear in Columbiana, AL and got to brainstorm about some product ideas for the Bronco. During our discussion I mentioned how the soft top can come in contact with the roll bar when you put it back up from the down position. I had used a piece of vinyl as protection but it wasn't really holding up well. So the guys at Tredwear made a quick template and cut some of their .05 thick rubber material and put it on the roll bar to see how it would look and work. **Now Available on Ebay**

I think the end result looks pretty clean, especially since it was hand cut on the spot. They are looking for feedback and interest.

We also had a couple of other ideas being kicked around so stay tuned.

It looks like a great solution to me.

Would xpel or something similar work? That would be transparent and let the original color show through. Not sure if it would be thick enough to hold up long term though

For what it is worth color options could be in the cards. This was a test piece that they had lying around and it closely matched the other black features of the Bronco. A full on side view would probably help show it off a little better, but this was just a test.

Interesting - I used some UHMW tape on the roll bar as well as door sills to protect the paint. Easy peasy!

Looks nice and is necessary...I tried some felt tape but it tore through that pretty quick.

There is another company that has been making a clear version for a while now. I bought but have not installed yet. I will find the link and post it
