I was just reading up on Amazon and it's a Bluetooth speaker unfortunately. I was hoping it was a tie in to the B & O system. Someone asked if it can be used that way and the answer was no.
Yeah, that being the case, it's an awfully silly accessory. Then again, SEMA builds are generally all about silly rather than practical.

There are 15,000 members here which means there are 15,000 opinions on how the whole process will take place in terms of sorting orders, late availability items etc. The only ones who know that info right now are Ford, and I’d bet they don’t even have the details worked out yet.

Personally, I’m of the mind that if you’re set on your build then you should order as soon as possible. Sure, they say you have until January to convert, but I’d rather have my build in early than at the last minute. Just me.

If you’re waiting to see if anything changes then feel free. Do what you’re comfortable with — if you’ll feel like you’re missing out on something by ordering early then wait as long as you can.

Have to say though, this forum has a tendency to believe what it wants to believe, and construct narratives that are more pleasing than the actual facts. 1st run res holders might not have the ability to wait and order a mod top in January, or manual Sasquatch, or really anything else. Late availability might mean later than the ordering period.

I kick around the idea of canceling my 7/14 reservation (keeping my 7/24) and creating a new one. I'm currently planning on a base-man-squatch (b/c no Mid/man option below BL), so no idea when I'll actually get it. I'm ok with the wait.

My thought is, that with the new reservation being this late I'd be all but guaranteed a MY22. I haven't seen anything about how that would work/what it looks like other than you'd be able to "modify" your order to whatever options are available at that time (white/modular tops, Mid+Manual, etc).

There are plenty of sound bar options, if that's what you want.

I would wait till last possible minute. Make sure they aren't adding any dealer mark ups either.
No, I have it in writing from the GM no add-ons, no mark ups, and $500 deposit, also I have D-Plan which he says is good.

That's right. It's best to order after everyone else does.

I don't think that will make a difference as the scheduling doesn't start until the order window is close to closing.

I’d have an idea of the way you're going with your build, like trim, 2 or 4 door, color, etc. I think the only changes that will come with the updated B&P is the glitches being fixed like the mid package being selectable with manual.
Manual not selectable with mid package is not a glitch. Only Badlands can have mid and manual.

I really don't see us being able to choose our own time to place orders. If dealers don't set appointments they'll have periods of being overwhelmed or doing nothing.
Yep- my dealer has my B & P with our contract terms ready to go. They said the next step is as follows:
“This build will be used by our Bronco team to place your order in the system as soon as your reservation number is allocated by Ford Motor Company. “

Man that’s messed up. If that’s not a cash grab for no reason idk what is. Why is it too much to ask for heated seats with a manual under $40k?

I only want one thing on the Lux package, so it seems to me like Ford is cash-grabbing, specifically from me, because they must know I only want one of the things in the Lux package. Of course I want one thing from the mid-package too, so that's another grab. It's like they asked what I wanted and mixed the packages up so the only way to get what I really want is to buy the most expensive package, even though most of it, like heated steering wheel is something nobody wants. I don't know why they didn't ask me what options matter, solely to me, and then made them standard. Maybe that's what they should have done, was raise the price of the vehicle by, maybe $5,000+ and then just made them all standard features. I guess that makes sense too.

I believe there was a screenshot that showed production scheduling to start January 14th. If you're an early reservation holder getting your Bronco quickly is the priority, then ordering before the 14th would be beneficial - be in line when the first scheduling starts. That's the only benefit in regards to when you actually place your order.
Yes, I'm sure I saw the screenshot mentioning 1/14 also. But everything else (Including Granger's Albert) is still saying 1/31. I think I'll order before 1/14 just to be safe...

I want to be the first to own a 2021 Bronco. That's been my goal since 2016. I have owned three Bronco's thus far, and I doubt my 2021 will be my last. You guys are playing the "in a few months what will be different?" game and I am siting here thinking "MY2024 might just be epic".

So it is up to you. Are you going to buy one now and own it forever, or are you going to trade-up in two or three years?
