Jeep has an optional tailgate brace I think to take the weight of adding a larger spare tire. Could this be a brace for optional bigger tires?

The two images look very different in the hinge.

In my opinion those are the standard hinges. I would expect to see some type of brace available at or just after release. Odds this accessory was not yet available when photography was taken. As for 37" tires I can tell you in a past job the question was asked if the heavy duty tire carriers, offered by some aftermarket companies, could hold a 37" tire. This question came from Ford.

How about they just build it right in the first place with hinges strong enough to handle 40s and not try to nickle and dime us with "upgrade hinges".

Ford will have the Bronco but it will not be filling upper south hall this year. Majority of aftermarket companies will not have access until the first of the year. If you see accessories at SEMA they will be Fords accessories.

I really wish the tailgate would swing open the other direction (hinges on driver side). After having lived with a wrangler, I can tell you it's nicer to be able to open the tailgate from the sidewalk side than to have to stand in the street while opening it...

Really excited about the Bronco now....have my '99 Explorer Sport up for sale now (single owner) to put some of it towards this. Will most likely wait till next spring so the first ones are off the line & kinks are worked out.

Ford Oval on the left, Bucking Bronco on the right, nice. The only issue I would have with the plastic bumper cover is no hi lift jacking points. We had to add some to my sons Tacoma as well.
