No such thing as death wobble on 4 wheels. Ride thru that shit on a motorcycle and tell me about pants shitting. Lol
Tank Slapping is not death wobble.
It's an O-chit moment for sure, but it is not death wobble as there is only one front wheel

What Jeep owners claim is "death wobble" is nothing more than the normal wear and tear on a traditional 4 link solid axle Jeep front end as found in the first generation Cherokees, for example. It does not happen all of a sudden, it builds up gradually and is the result of the 8 rubber and steel bushings that locate the front axle wearing to the point that continual back and forth steering wheel movement is required to go straight down the road. Nothing will suddenly break and send you off the road unless you just bought a clapped out Cherokee and never drove one before.

The solution to so called death wobble is to replace all 8 bushings and bolts. Them it should be good for another 20k miles or so

Well not me I was driving my 2021 Bronco Wildtrak but I think the guy in the JL needed to change his Calvin Klien underwear. IFS FTW

Coming out of a construction zone I slide over to passing lane to go around a Hyundai crap can, Jeep comes up fast in the right lane and tries to squeeze though the gap, I shut the door and pass the Elantra/Sonota. Then pull to the right to let the Jeep pass, I have my cruise set at 75mph, Jeep just goes past and I see the wheels shaking violently. He slows down but still wobbling bad.

I go past on the right but keep it classy and don’t gloat Bronco owners are better then that. He got off the next exit and I imagine examined his life choices.

I’m sorry no video I don’t have my dash cam hooked up yet.

I am a death wobble survivor (2015 JKU). My jeep buddies want to know why on earth would I sell my jeep for IFS. My response is always “you’ll find out”. And good luck with that 392 because what does a jeep need….more horsepower to the death wobble. Not to mention the lifted supercharged demons on 40s. WTF!!!! Its a lifted jeep for god sakes. FAFO!!!!!!!!

Bronco FTW!!!!!!

As someone who experienced death wobble behind the wheel of a Jeep, it is a pant shitting experience and mine was only at around 45mph. If you didn't almost shit your pants then it wasn't death wobble.
This is true. I had it happen seemingly out of nowhere in my PW a number of years ago… as I was merging onto an expressway nearing 70. Scariest thing happen to me stateside in a car and I still remember staring down a big rigs headlights in a Cougar after it pitted me on another interstate because the drive fell asleep.

I feel like the death wobble thing is highly over emphasized. Leastways I've owned my CJ-7 since 1989 and never had a death wobble. No death wobble on my live axle Series Land Rover or TJ either.

If death wobble were such a big problem, no way JKs and JLs would be littering the roadways. Hard to believe all the soccer moms in my area would be driving them if they were experiencing death wobble.

I did once experience a wobble on my CJ-5, but that was due to having loose front axle U bolts and no bumper. That's why I agree some of this death wobble stuff could be worn bushings or loose components.
