Exactly.Im legit surprised this is much of a discussion here. For anyone who has ever mounted a mobile radio, as you pointed out, is also running an antenna lead... and running 12v and ground, especially in a proper gauge to handle the wattage, is going to be no big deal.
The dash USB is for the more casual people who are running lower wattage devices.
On the fleet side you can spec Fords with power leads that terminate under the dash... which they could have done with the bronco. But even those are never big enough to actually power anything. We always use them to run relays off a switch.
And if you get the aux switchs you'll have leads in kick plate already. Should be pretty simple to route from there, you're past the hard part, the firewall. The larger aux switches should cover a CB just fine.
