Has anyone had or have Broncos with each top to give a comparison on the sounds and gaskets quality between the 2?

I can only speak to my 4 door mic and while I find the general noise acceptable what is a problem is after just one time taking the panels off the air leak noise is quite noticeable. I’ve adjusted the top however no such luck to remedy it. I’ll start looking into the fix’s with adding more gaskets.
Just wondering since the mod top is a different build does it suffer from the same wind noise issues?
My guess is the seams and gaskets are the same but I’m not actually sure.
Are the panels interchangeable between the two different tops?

I'm no help with your actual question but I've found that when putting my MIC top panels back on (especially if theres dust, etc) it helps to wipe the seals down with a Silicone spray lubricant. In my 2+ years with mine it helps 100% with the wind noise/leaks/squeaks.

Thank you, I wondered about long term care of these. I saw a product in the RV section for gaskets so I’ll give some a try.

I think you'll find that it helps. FWIW I also use that same lubricant on the rear window/tailgate seals which drastically quiets the squeaks coming from that area too

When it comes to lubricating door seals and top panel seals, the best product I've found is Honda Shin-Etsu silicone grease. It keeps seals in like-new condition.

We've got 3 Bronco's with 3 different tops: MIC, MOD, and Anderson. We've taken the panels off a few times, but it's not something we do a lot.

To my ear, there's no real difference in sound between the MIC and MOD tops. If anything the MOD may be *slightly* quieter, but there's not a large difference between the two.

The Anderson is noticeably quieter than both of them, but I believe it's because the interior headliner is a thicker, quilted panel, so it's got more insulation than the other two.

All 3 tops still have slight wind noise in the exact same spots, so it makes me think it's more related to the shape of the top than a difference in gaskets.

Hope that helps!

I watched a video a while back where people were putting foam piping in the side of the top behind the front window. There is a spot that they say catches the wind and makes noise. I went and looked at my top and it has a plastic piece in it like Ford fixed that issue from previous versions. I ordered mine as an accessory a few months ago.

Can you post a pic of the plastic part you're talking about?

Good to know. My noise comes from the seal near the window between the passenger front and mid panel. Something with that gasket.
