2-door Base model. Not easy to find a replacement.
Worse, one of the almost impossible to get stick-shifts.

Replacing her is not going to be easy in this market.

An unlucky young lady failed to yield to stop sign at a t intersection a few weeks ago and I couldn't evade. Grateful for no critical injuries but bronco was a total loss

Insurance appraisal was fair and I expect to be funded in next few days

My frugal side says buy a Kia and keep the ADM I didn't have to pay last year when my reservation came in

But sentimental side says get another bronco

In stock options are slim locally, (overpriced), and at some point insurance will cut off the rental

Not looking for sympathy but what say ye; any tips?

Damn man I'm sorry about your Bronco. I swear I have seen that thing driving around. Maybe I'm close to you. If I'm right, and if you're located around the Inland Empire, have you tried looking at Ken Grody Ford? I was there today and they looked like they had more than just 2 or 3 Broncos in. I didn't see a 2 door though.

First and foremost, I am glad everyone is ok. Secondly.......FUUUUUUCK! Sorry for your loss. I think this is everyones fear. I am curious to know what the insurance payout will be as well. I think you still need a bronco in your life. Whether it be this one fixed up or a reorder. Keep us all posted and god speed!

Not to be nosey, what did insurance give you? The wife and I were talking about this the other day. Wondering if insurance would give us enough if totaled or should we get gap insurance.

SO sorry for your loss @Bronkers. I expect that buy back will be in the $15k-$25k range. Would not hurt to ask. Go to KBB and put in the info to see what the retail value is. Make sure to include any upgrades you have done. Print it out. If the offer or check is not close to what you got from KBB, DO NOT CASH the check. Talk to the adjuster. If it is the other persons insurance, you can always use your insurance agent to advocate for you. Hopefully you have a local agent. I sell insurance so I have a pretty good idea how all this works. Based on the things have been going, I would recommend that you wait until you can get what you want instead of paying ADM for another one right now. I know you loved it, but you will have another one again to enjoy.
EDIT: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON A JEEP YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH. Get something cheap to get you through.

Wow, we all feel for you. I cringe to think what I'd do if that happened to me.
Get a pitbull lawyer. I wonder (half seriously, half in jest) if you could sue for emotional distress.

Almost looks drivable if you fix the tire and fix the lights. I would buy it back, straighten what I can nascar style, and drive her proud knowing my truck is a total beast. Even if you don't plan to fix it, at least you would have a bronco until you can get an adequate replacement.

(Edit: Unless pony is right about it costing 15K.... in that case yikes!)

Sorry this happened to you and hope you have better luck with the next one

If insurance gave you enough to buy a new one and you donā€™t replace it asap, then it wasnā€™t your ā€œfavorite truck everā€. If this happened to mine, Iā€™d be on here posting pics of my new Bronco.

Get an older but fun car that holds its value. Drive it for a year and lose no money - possibly even make some. Porsche 996 or lotus Elise for example. Lotus isnā€™t a good commuter but hey itā€™s a blast to drive.
