The chassis pic shows a bunch of extra hardware associated with the front tow loops, as compared to the simple bolt-on loops on the rear. Maybe the front loops pull out for use, then you can shove them back out of the way when not hooked up?

If this is the case, will the front loops be prone to damage if used for a vertical lift point?

For comparison, Ranger front loops are simple bolt-on design.

I don't think those things are much extra hardware, to me it looks like a rubber or plastic shroud that's around the tow hook. It probably makes it mesh better with the front bumper and covers up the holes of the box frame. I believe I have something similar on my 2016 Canyon, and the tow hooks mount the same as it is in the rear with a couple vertical bolts. Should be simliar on the bronco, just an extra 60 seconds to access them if you are trying to take them off.

Thanks, NoDoors....... but it was all the stuff in highlighted in the red circle here, below the Bronco's box frame, that I was curious about.

Hmm interesting, I thought you were talking about the plastic piece to the left of the red circle. I'm not sure what that is, maybe bumper mound hardware? Who knows. I doubt it would be some crazy way to attach tow hooks. That seems like from a production and materials engineering standpoint, something overdesigned for no reason that increases material use and complexity. I'm sure the front hooks mount normally with come vertical bolts.

Retractable tow loops are a "thing" nowadays in the race car world. It would be interesting if that's what's also going on with that attachment box on the Bronco.
