Also, FYI for those investigating the pigtails to the L/R tail light harnesses, the part numbers for the Motorcraft, prebuilt pig tails are:
7U2Z14S411GA (889) and 7U2Z14S411HA (890)
You do not need to buy these unless you plan on splicing all the wires plus crimping in a "Y" on 3 wires. It would be easier to just pull the pin, cut, splice on a new lead that has the "Y" or just use my method (assuming it works).

Nice pics.... I guess.... a little explaining would help.... :)
So the pic with the 3 connectors is the wiring for factory TT. This is where we pick up power for the Ford tail light converter as well as park lights. Ground is 10" above it. Ford used the correct mating connector as the plug instead of a cap so I found the correct terminals to crimp on and stick in the back.

From there we just have to connect the blue wire for brake (LED tails, Halogen is different) left turn and run one wire over to the passenger side to tap into the right signal wire. I'm using a connector similar to what the factory one to make the wire attachment a little easier since we are still using a scotch lock to tap the factory wires. Hard to explain but easy to understand if seen in person.

I could clean it up a little now that I know what lengths I need but that was as I was installing.

OK so I've skimmed this thread, which is great by the way, thank you.

But can someone please tell me why the fuck Ford made this so complicated? And trust me, I can't stand Jeep, but this is a hitch & wiring kit I installed a few years ago on a JK.

5 whole steps! So once again, why did Ford complicate this shit?

If anyone has a good answer, I'm listening. Thanks.

This is the kind of power modder I love finding. I will say this has pushed me to order the package. I haven't seen anything indicating that the touchscreen menu has tie-ins with added-on tow packages.

Because itā€™s Ford and all of this stuff is an after thought instead of desiging for add on sales opportunities. The LED system uses PWM which is why the converter is needed. I could get this down to a plug and play but it would still be more complicated that the jeep harness and more $$.

Well my Base Squatch won't have LED in the back, I wonder if Ford has any plans to make that plug and play.

In the end, IF I have to run all of these wires I will. This Bronco will be towing stuff. Is what it is, but that doesn't mean it doesn't piss me off that they have to make it a PIA.

Thanks again.

If you go to Curt or Draw-Titeā€™s websites, neither show a product available so I guess Curt doesnā€™t have their own website current?

Now for the $64 question.

WHAT'S IN THE BOXXXXXXXXX?

Seriously, is there anything else in there, maybe a wiring dongle that gets clipped in somewhere? if it's really that easy, I'm whacking it from my order right now.
Just donā€™t wack it in public.

the government frowns upon thatā€¦
