Looks like it is only intended for a bike rack or cargo rack.
It's a 3500lb class II hitch. Can definetly handle more than a bike rack.

They don't just make those numbers up.

My bike rack also doesn't require 7 pin wiring. :ROFLMAO:

You do realize a truck a few decades ago towed 3500 on the bumper attached to the frame with bolts. It’s fine.
I'm assuming this will be more than adequate for a 4x8/4x9 utility open trailer for wood and sheet goods? Never towed before and will be the next thing with wheels i purchase after the bronco.

Seeing that I'm glad that the tow hitch is not available on base. Pretty sure there will be plenty of aftermarket options just as good for half the price. Or something included on a steel bumper.

Ehhh...I’m already paying $50,000+. What’s another $600 anyways?
Same. I feel ya there. Besides, the Bronco is definitely not my tow rig. That's why I have a truck as well.

The hell truck are you thinking about? The little Rangers could tow more than that. Hell, trucks from the 60's could tow more than that.

The rating restriction on the new Bronco is based on suspension and wheel base and how the two interact under load. It's not limited by how the hitch is attached

I definitely agree that 3500lbs is pathetic, no argument there though. I have no qualms that this hitch is fine, just with your statement about trucks.

Soft suspension and iffy brakes.
Oh, I know why. But it still just seems so horribly low.

I bought a hitch for my JK from Quadratec for $79 with wiring harness. How does that cost $600? There has to be more to it than that. Jeep charges $700 but at least that comes with a bigger alternator and aux switches.

It looks like the muffler would limit some aftermarket hitch options. The muffler is right up against the back of the hitch. But maybe a different muffler would help.

Does the "Towing Capability" option provide anything other than the hitch receiver and trailer wiring plugs?

Higher alternator output? Enhanced engine/trans cooling capacity?
