Tow Shackle size.

Using the search function is like using a shotgun, I know I saw it somewhere but can't find it.... What size are the front tow shackle mounts? I seem to remember they are 15/16, with the opening in the shackle being 1.1", but need to be sure as I am ordering adapters for my tow bar.

Are all the front tow points on the Bronco the same or varies by trim? I recall seeing some pictures of shackles but some without and more of a ”solid” mounting point.

They are all the same, and mounted to the frame ends.

It doesn't vary by modular bumper vs. standard bumper? Some pictures I saw online show a difference. But maybe it was a very early pre-production.

I seem to remember the same, 15/16" with paint makes them 1", and the shackle is 1.1", this is standard for Smittybuilt and Rugged Ridge off road bumpers.

Actually they are the same, just shackles mounted to the lower one, and the bare mount on the modular bumper.

Ah, gotcha. Thank you. So I assume the shackles are aftermarket, and none of the trim levels come with them already installed?

The second bumper is the "capable" version and is not offered for MY21. It has built-in shackles rather than shackle mounts.

I believe the non-HD bumper has tow loops rather than shackle mounts

That's a good point, looking at the photo's in the B&P no shackles are shown, but we all know how relieable the B&P is.

1 1/16" to 1 1/8" wide. I did not get an exact ID but I believe that 15/16" is correct. This is a modular front bumper on a BL.

That's a good point, looking at the photo's in the B&P no shackles are shown, but we all know how relieable the B&P is.

Just did an image search here. No shackle mounts on the standard bumper, only tow loops.
