How would that even work? Wouldn't the shackles face to the side?

Standard bumper has tow loops instead of shackle mounts.

I removed the tow hooks and installed the shackle bracket kit from Rough Country.

How does the opening look close up when you remove the plastic and add their parts? The pic you posted looks great.

You don't have to remove any plastic. They just replace the tow hooks that are already on there.

Not sure. I left the tow hook on the rear and just added a shackle adapter to my hitch. Much cheaper.
