Better fuel economy in a HD diesel truck towing the Bronco than driving it.

You got that right! My 2000 F-350 7.3 diesel dually full size lariat with king cab gets better mileage than my Donkey.
Nice. How many miles? I got 250k+ on my 01 F250 Platinum 7.3 and still pulling strong.

OP, you gonna give us the back story?
Edit. Missed the post where you said you moved.

Mine just turned over 100,000. We use it for recreation only with the camper. Occasional run to the dump or hauling materials.

the guys at uhaul were skeptical, but luckily... it fits with zero room to spare.

Raptor owners do not attempt

dont mind the oil can, ran out of space everywhere.

were you able to use the regular auto transport straps to ratchet down the front tires?

I didnt attempt to use the nets, the website said they wouldn't fit oversized tires and I couldnt wait to find out the day of the move and be SOL if the answer was no, so I ordered tie downs ahead of time.

I just used those and never tried to even see if the nets would have fit or not.

Cool! And they let you take the transport using your own tie down strategy?

I took the trailer home empty, I knew I had to detach it so I could load the uhaul itself, I didnt want the car on there when I had to unhitch it.

they had no issue with me using my own straps, but they wouldnt set it up for me or inspect it. I just strapped the rear axle to the cross member, and I strapped to the lower control arm in the front, to the cross member. tightened them all up after driving a mile (they didnt loosen, but good to verify). Your mileage may vary.

Drove another 700 miles without any issue.
