Toyo Open Country M/T 35s -- Before and After

Just installed my Open Country tires.......Man, do they look Aaaaaaagressive and nice. I currently have an SAS with the Eibach Pro Lift Kit (springs only, non-adjustable) and RTR EVO rims. I do have a Rough Country Winch and mount on the front and a full trunk for the most part (full of recovery gear, enclosed sub. etc..). I was thinking of going 37s....but naaa. I do drive fairly fast on easy/intermediate trails and didn't want a rougher ride. I'm glad with the choice I have made I will likely consider 37s after I have a proper adjustable KING coilover setup (or similar) and be able to handle the increased wheel size properly.

The open country MT is an awesome tire. Kinda heavy but it wears very well and is tough. I’ve had several sets and they’ve all been great tires.

They look way better than stock. The stock MT is a soft All terrain. I don't know why tf they advertise it as an MT.

Yeah so....I was expecting a harder compound and the tire is actually soft More so than the stock tires. I guess they engineered it this way for road comfort.

They are bigger SAS tires are 34.3 - these are 34.8. May not seem like a lot but it's definitely a visual change. Also, wider and higher too.

I was expecting the road noise to be a LOT worse....They are M/Ts after all. BUT they are also 35s....I hear the 37s are ones with more road noise. But no loud road noise at all. If anything, the additional "I have a truck" - tire noise is welcome It never drove like a BMW to begin with so no issues for me. BUT - I also did install KILMAT on all 4 doors and truck section a couple of months ago.

The OEM MT stands for "maximum traction". Intentional marketing gimmick to confuse the average buyer.

I had those on my TJ - I loved them and will most likely go with them when factory sneakers wear out.
