You could just install one of these for $30 and control it from your phone with an app. I have a few old cars and put one of these in to use. It also allowed me to take the remote out of my Wrangler and not worry about someone snatching it to open my door. Wish I would’ve installed it years ago.

This plus the feeling you left your garage open just before falling asleep is way easier to confirm then walking all the way through the house.

does My Q have an app for the ford Bronco's internal OS so it pops up on the screen and allows you to open the garage when you are near it ? I wouldn't want to fumble around with a phone, its a great idea, but by the time you open the app and hit the button the purpose of the actual garage door button shows its value IMHO.
I do not have the option on my ranger so I doubt it would be an option on the bronco.

Now that you brought this up, I also have a cheap standalone eufy cam with local sd card storage for recorded videos installed in the garage. It has an app that I can login and check live/recorded videos. The camera has more to do with my OCD than this homelink mirror

I bought Toyota's homelink accessory mirror and it fits and works perfectly with the Bronco.
Part number - PT374-00210

The mirror is battery operated and frameless.

Thanks for making the video!

Ford visor is not powered if the key is not present, this mirror is.
My stuff in my garage is worth more than 200 bucks.
I don’t think this is true. I am pretty sure Mine will open the garage door when it isn’t running. I’ll verify tomorrow.

It seems like Ford used several “standard” wire harness. Has anyone with a base model checked to see if the plug for power is behind the visor bracket? It seems like there is a reasonable chance that the power is already there.
I’m wondering the same thing. Is there an unused plug on the base model?

You ever try it?
Yes. With my doors locked and no key my home link buttons are totally operable. I confirmed it today. Be careful leaving the Bronco in your driveway everyone!
