This plus the feeling you left your garage open just before falling asleep is way easier to confirm then walking all the way through the house.You could just install one of these for $30 and control it from your phone with an app. I have a few old cars and put one of these in to use. It also allowed me to take the remote out of my Wrangler and not worry about someone snatching it to open my door. Wish I would’ve installed it years ago.
Now that you brought this up, I also have a cheap standalone eufy cam with local sd card storage for recorded videos installed in the garage. It has an app that I can login and check live/recorded videos. The camera has more to do with my OCD than this homelink mirror

Yes. With my doors locked and no key my home link buttons are totally operable. I confirmed it today. Be careful leaving the Bronco in your driveway everyone!
I like the cheaper one. Mostly because both work without the key
