The problem with Toyotas is that all the switches are on the wrong side. I don't need to start learning a whole new system. I'll be in a rain storm turning on my blinker.
I do that about every time I get a Toyota as a rental car. You'd think I would learn, but nope.

Love Toyota and Lexus, I just wish their designs and tech weren't stuck in the last decade. The problem is people won't stop buying them!

I agree with the Toyota being reliable but boring comments shared many times here. But Toyota also wouldn't send out retail orders with the MIC tops delaminating the way Ford has. I'm back to shopping FJs and waiting for the '23 MOD tops for my Bronco.

Just the fact that Toyota did this, make me think that they are terrified about the Bronco.

I really don't need to add anything else.

They just send carpet that get stuck in your pedal drive.

Current TRD Pro owner (2019)

I like my 4Runner. It’s easy to live with as a daily driver and good enough off road

But the Bronco is lighter, has 60 more horsepower, gobs more torque, and 5 more forward gears
Bronco is lighter?

This?
Just kidding. I bought a new 2011 Camry dirt cheap with 0% interest from Toyota because knuckleheads didn't know how to hook their carpeted mats in. I'm good.

If Toyota was paying attention, they’d follow Ford’s example and go back to their roots.

As a former owner of a 4 Runner, an FJ Cruiser, a Tacoma and a current owner of a Land Cruiser I can say I like Toyota's. They build solid trucks, but for the most part you will have to spend a lot of money on mods to get where you can get a Bronco to from the factory. I replaced front and rear bumpers added lifts, sliders, skid plates, lockers and bigger tires and I think the two door bronco would still out do my FJ. That being said, I am buying the Bronco two door to take to extreme places, and it seems built for the job. Toyota sent the FJ out with a bunch of plastic crap that got tore off the first trip. It was a reliable vehicle and never let me down but I also had to do a lot of mods to get it where it needed to be.
looking forward to seeing what the Bronco will do.

I’m thinking the same. I expect the kinks won’t really be worked out until then.

I own a 5th-gen 4runner.

Pros - Hydraulic steering, NA engine that with an exhaust can sound great, feels very roomy in the interior cabin for an off-roader, still feels analogue and old school, not too much tech (yet). Can add a Supercharger.

Cons - No manual transmission on offer.
