So I noticed today that Ford updated the look & feel of the accessories site. Truthfully... much better than the old site.

Only problem is the trailer brake controller I intended to purchase seems to have disappeared. I have a link to the part (https://accessories.ford.com/module-trailer-brake-vm2dz-2c006-a.html#2021/Bronco) But it redirects to a brake controller for the Ranger.

It would make sense to me that the Bronco and the Ranger would have a similar brake controller, but can anyone confirm (via part numbers or otherwise) if the Ranger part will work on the Bronco? Thanks!

So did more digging and there seems to be a “Pack 1” and a “Pack 2”. The controller itself seems to be the same unit, but the wiring harnesses are different.

And it seems like Pack 1 is the Bronco unit, while Pack 2 is Ranger.

FWIW, when we were looking into trailer brake controllers for our '19 Ranger, we decided to avoid the Ford re-brand unit and went with the REDARC pro. It's vastly more usable and the interface is quite nice and the tech behind it is modern.

How is it “vastly more usable”? Isn’t it the same product that Ford uses? Does it come with the correct wiring harrnesses to plug and play?

I noticed this earlier this week and was pissed. My plan was to buy the bronco unit and install vs removing the one from my grand cherokee & buying a new $300 GC trim piece before trading it in for the bronco (in the next 2-3 weeks).
