At the end of my rope.... installed the trailer hitch that was easy part.... parts department gave me a OEM controller module I'm sure hoping it was for LED lights.... It just had pigtails off it then I bought the Ford seven pin and. Flat wire ordered the curt wiring harness for LED. It didn't come with a controller, which makes me a little suspicious. Thinking about it maybe the wiring harness is totally wrong. I rechecked my ground wires didn't like the one wire so I ran it all the way back from the negative on the battery then I ran the powerline with the 15 amp fuse back to the controller. Pulled the fuse out and waited for the 10 second reset.... still nothing went on for scan to see if there is any settings.... I could see that the program finally recognized the controller. Try different trailer settings. Nothing worked. At the end of my rope I even cut the lead to the seven pin and just ran the flat wire to a new connector. OEM ford. I'll check the fuse box tomorrow... the brand new Ford 2024 and 2025 looks a whole lot easier with that junction box..... with all the videos it's confusing there's not much on the LED system or anything on the programming or if it needs programming? It would be nice to watch a video on Forscan for the trailer set up and what I'm looking for.... at the end of my rope.

What part specific part number(s) get you get.
You're describing installing a curt controller and saying that to the programming could see the module.
In order for anyone to give any input or advice, information pertaining to products used is necessary.
And
How these products are connected (wired).
Short of that information, knowledgeable input from others is near impossible.

Outer Banks 2022 with LED lights blindside monitoring proximity sensors I don't know if that matters or not.... I guess where I'm at right now. Is wondering if Ford sold me the wrong OEM controller. I'll have to look at the serial number and track it down. It just had pigtails so I think you were supposed to just splice them into the wires..... I was gonna cross reference the numbers and splice them into the wires to give it a try.... Parts Engine sold me the curt wiring harness, but it didn't have a controller with it so I'm wondering if it was the non-LED wiring harness they sold me that would make sense why none of the lights work so I'm thinking about taking it out of the equation.... if that doesn't work, I guess I can try re-ordering the curt LED wiring harness with the controller......

The whole thing is sold as a kit. You buy the kit, you install it, you/your dealer programs the controller. Done.

You're absolutely right..... I've got to take the tail light off to take a picture of it. It's a little hard to understand without seeing, my apologies. I've gone ahead and ordered the new wiring, harness and controller even if the old one would work I don't like the idea of splicing butt connecters into my tail light wiring harness especially with them being LED.

I disconnected the Curt wiring harness, then went into for scan to get rid of the trailer settings. I did notice something interesting. I had way more trailer enabling functions than before. So I'll wait for the new harness to come with the module and give it a go.. unfortunately I think I'm a victim of the parts counter...lol a little too trusting.
