Hi,

I’m checking in to find out if you’re still working on a solution to allow the Pak Rax to be installed using the OEM roof rack.

Thanks!
We discontinued this project for the OEM Rack. The OEM rack is not strong enough for our Pak Rax and we do not trust the rack to hold what the pak rax is designed for.

This thread is for our Pak Rax for the TRMR Rack or the stand-alone pak rax if you do not want to run a roof rack. This stand-alone unit should be available this fall.

That is absolutely an option. In fact we plan to work on getting an offset for long objects that will offset the snow board towards the rear to still give you the usability of the rear set of doors.
Did this ever come to fruition? If so , any recommendations on which mounts or setup to use ?

Still something we are working on. You should be able to mount those items on our universal mounting plate though.

I have a ZROADZ roof rack. I'd like to add the Pak Rax kit. Is that possible?
It is not. Sorry. Their rack is not rated for the Pak Rax.

Can you elaborate on this? Is it because the OEM version has only one rear crossbar? If so, then Mabett offers a second crossbar. What is the basis for the lack of strength you mentioned? Understanding what you have learned about this could help us with loading scenarios and using the mount points for hoist systems and that sort of thing.

It is not the fact that it lacks in crossbars. It is the fact that because the OEM rack is mainly made out of plastic, it will break too easily with our PakRax.
