Transfer a reservation to a family member?

One of my sons is interested in using my second reservation. I read somewhere that you can transfer to a family member at time of ordering. I can't seem to find where I read it. Was I dreaming or can we do that? And what constitutes a family member? Do you need to be under the same roof?

According to what I know, it's going to have to be same household or the dealer will get in trouble from Ford on their match requirements.

That being said, we haven't seen all the details on that requirement.

I made the reservation for my son, in the mean time he had to move for work....

Or say nothing and when it gets to signing the papers and all that, just mention that it'll be in his name only and proceed. That close to seeing the money I doubt the dealer will send you away?

Just use your address on the paperwork, and he can update his address with the bank and DMV after the purchase.
