Transmission Oil Cooler on V6 — air flow requirements?

About to install RC's hidden winch and I'm hearing some opposing opinions on whether or not the V6 oil / transmission cooler needs good air flow for longevity.

I'm hesitant to do the relocation, anyone care to elucidate?

I think that is more of a mass type heat sink where it doesn't really need air flow but you don't want it to be couped up. It needs to breath, radiate in order to cool. I would say you are good to go.

Coolant flows through it for cooling it is a fluid to fluid cooler no air.

This ^^^ it's a heat exchanger, minimal air flow needed.

Has anyone seen an upgrade for this cooler? I've noticed temps rise considerably when off road.
