now I just need to wait for my email

I'm also the first reserved at my local hobby shop for the red one. I'm going to guess the CO body is going to be more popular

I called the local HobbyTown that is a Traxxas dealer to see when they will get some. My timing was perfect because the Traxxas rep there with a CO model. The employee said it is awesome vehicle. The rep said they will start shipping before Memorial Day.

I am so tempted to order a Red one and begin real r/c off-roading.

We discussed batteries and chargers, for optimum driving.

Just ordered the red one from HobbyTown. We already have a Traxxas charger and some smaller lipo batteries for my son's car that should work for now.

I don't feel old, but I have purchased an actual running car for less.

Ha! yeah I remember those days. My third car, a used 12 year old beater, cost me $50 (fifty) and i put 12,000 miles on it before i gave it away. Needed wheels while i rebuilt the engine in my daily driver.

According to the email I got from Traxxas today, the Broncos should start showing up in hobby shops now.

Pre-ordered a Rapid Red one today.

I was standing there with the local Hobby Town USA employee, he said "you want to see it"? We went to stock room, opened the box, pulled out that immaculate CO Bronco, unwrap the cling wrap off body. It is a heavy truck, rugged, detailed perfectly. I've never seen a Traxxas RC truck, OMG I was blown away. It looks just like the demo trucks I saw at the Ford dealer last week.

He called his store manager and Traxxas, to ask if he could sell me this one labeled "display/not for sale"; unfortunately he could not. I did buy the battery and charger so it will be ready to run.

I did notice an issue with the body, all the tailgate details are stickers. The arms for the tailgate hinge arms, Bronco, license plate, and Ford emblem will require a coat of clear to protect them.

I see we have finally got the SFA with PORTALS version of the Bronco.


Traxxas is cool stuff. That TRX4 suspension is cool. Same as the 79 Bronco they have had for a number years now.

Red for me too. When I ordered they even told me the ship date of 5/27 and it typically takes 5 days to be delivered to them. I figured with the holiday that should put me at Friday the latest. Hopefully.
