So If anyone feels the same please comment below.
1. My 65 year old father is interested in a new 2 door bronco, he had one in the 80’s and he likes the new one like all of us so he wants to get one. He will not use it for major off roading, but he does live in North East Ohio where it snows 6 months a year so he needs something that can handle it. He likes the idea of the base because the nice standard equipment and the price, but theres a major problem. The 16 inch steelies are an embarassment to say the least! Now hes 65 and has never went off roading in his life, but even he knows that he couldnt be seen driving around town looking like that. So I told him to get a big bend, but those wheels and tires are puny too. So the black diamond he likes, but its 36k, has rock sliders which he will never use and has rubber floors which he doesnt want. Now your probally thinking, just buy new wheels and tires! Sure, but my dad and a lot of people buying the bronco are the type of people that like things stock and original, also its a shame the you buy a 32k bronco and immediatly have to spend $2k on wheels and tires before you can even show it two someone because its so embarrasing. Were hoping once the build and price comes out there will be a $800 option for him to upgrade the base wheels. Also, this will be every other bronco owners problem. You might have a cool first edition and feel all sweet but when you go to a ford dealer to see the bronco’s there will be a row of 10 with base ugly steelies and it will put a bad taste in your mouth. Also, the first time many people see a bronco will be on the road, and alot of bronco’s sold will be with steelies. So 40-50% of peoples first impression will be a bronco with ugly steelies and there going to think “thats the jeep fighting big bad bronco”? Huge miss by ford. Embarrasing.
2. I keep finding myself bouncing back and forth on trims like a pinball. I might want three options, a certain trim has those three options. Then i say well maybe that 1 extra option would be nice, so i go to the next trim level, i get that new option but by doing that I just lost the 3 options i liked??? Like wtf!!
3. Ford has two many trims. Should have 4 trims plus the first edition so 5 total. First two trims have cloth and carpet, last two trims have leather and carpet. Rubber floors and marine vinyl are options on all 5 trims! Also the 12 inch is an available upgrade on trim level 2 and standard on 3 and 4. Also alot of people like blis, but in order to get it you need lane departure auto braking and all this other bs. Ive never heard of a vehicle trimpackage option that you get no safety features, or 5 safety features. Complete and utter nonsense.
