Well to all my B6G family, I decided to go with true rock sliders. These are frame mounted/welded. I'm a bodyman/painter but trade so I refinished these with printable clear chip guard at 10 coats then once it was dry I layer down some raptor line (bedliner) the 2 products I'm using will take more rock abuse than powerboat and it's repairable right on the bronco no baking needed. These sliders will also act as little rock deflectors saving the body paint. The first rock chip to my bronco door was heart wrenching, I refused to use my bronco because I live in las vegas nv and that's all there is out here. Anyway I have the 2 door oem sliders if anyone is looking to cover up that ugly pinch weld below the door. Contact me at [email protected]

How large a gap did you leave for flex?

I'd love to see the frame connection.

I will get a couple more photos, but I fabricators have reinforced cut outs for the lower pinch weld that allows what I believe to be about 1.5 space for flex. I welded mine at 1in of flex before it hits the pinch weld. My welds are as good as the fab guys but they are strong. See photos, hope this helps and if you know anyone that wants a set of oem rails please email me I have them boxed and ready to go. Thank for the reply..

Thanks. If you put them to use in the next few months let us know how you think they're performing.

I'm planning something very similar for mine. Just trying to sort out what kind of plate and gussets I think it will need at the mounting points.

I would recommend welding that horizontal seam otherwise these will likely come off. I speak from experience on my Jeep JK years ago.

how are these holding up? Are you smacking any rocks? Is there much flex up into the pinch seam? Any frame distortion?

Thanks, I too am looking at these sliders.

Well really only got to use them once work restraints. How ever did wheelers pass in spring but it was washed out so had to take a rocky wash up to the pass. I hit once pretty hard they didn't bend or move but I welded and bolted to the frame so outside of a little touch up paint they are fine. But the big test is this fall sand hollow utah
