Of course we're being told by our dealer they don't know when the next order bank will open. Well, me being a woman that doesn't like that vague of an answer, goes into research mode. I found an article shown below that gives pretty specific dates. I send it to our rep and he says he doesn't believe anything unless it comes from Ford. Do you guys think someone from Ford could leak this info to magazines???

You may as well. The info from Ford has been anything but reliable, so you can only go uphill from there.

The dates jive with previously released info..

I wouldnā€™t trust it until Ford confirms but Iā€™ve heard build and price for 2022 in the SEP-OCT time frame.

Kelly, the source for that snippet (AutoEvolution) is quoting information obtained from the American fleet leasing and management company, Donlen Corporation, which has proven to be pretty reliable in the past and has been mentioned here on the forum multiple times.

Here are the original links...
Note the Donlen footnotes at the bottom:

1 ā€“ All dates are estimated and subject to change.

September 13th was circulated in an internal Ford document. I know because I put that date in my calendar at the time my dealer opens...

That said, just because Ford said it will be 9/13, doesn't mean it won't change.

Donlen is showing 9/13 also as the '22 order acceptance date, scheduling to begin 10/14, and production starting 12/13. All subject to change of course with parts shortages and covid lingering on.

What we know of the time line for MY changeover etc that seems like it could be accurate

I think Ford is way to far behind to fill all 2021 orders by the end of this year. Iā€™ll be surprised if they can get 35k produced by the end of the year.

Our dealer said he doesn't go by anything unless it comes directly from Ford. I say I'm gonna hope this info is right. As long as it's not 2023

That's what that article said but my dealer said he wasn't told anything and would wait until it came from Ford šŸ˜µ
