Tube doors, or not?

Why would you want tube doors instead of just going without doors?

  • They just look cool and I want everyone to see the coolness

  • The lawmakers in my state are a bunch of candy a$$e$ and wont allow us to ride without doors

  • I think they will save my bacon and make a difference in case of an accident

  • I hate polls, but here I am voting on another poll

  • No tube doors for me, thank you very much

I was thinking I'd like a set of tube doors, but got to thinking "why bother?"
What the consensus here?

I was thinking the same until I went without doors for months and decided they werenā€™t needed.

I think it is just a feeling of more safe than no door at all. It honestly looks good from an appearance standpoint. My wife would vote for them versus no door. I think I would go with the tube doors. It provides some motivation to not put your feet out of the vehicle....which seems safer.

I don't want top put them on, but I have kids so may end up doing it.
I didn't even think of the kiddo thing, mine are grown and (about) gone.
Good point.

My arm likes the place to rest, they are of some utility with storage bag attached, and my passengers feel safer is the biggest reason.

Not an option for me but to each there own. If you like the look go for it. If you don't like the look don't bother.

What would make you want to stick your appendages out of a moving vehicle? You need a security blanket and MOTIVATION not to do that?! When in GA, I guess.

We may be overlooking the potential for the tube doors to provide something ergonomic to hold on to when driving along bumpy roads

For me, safety first. How much safety it adds can be up for debate but having a bar to keep you in if you hit a hard bump is worth the peace of mind

Always thought they were a waste of money, you get T-boned or roll-over they aint going to help $hit. Seatbelt is your only hope to keep you inside, as for small kids, I never took the rear doors off my JK when kids were in back. And I never liked the look either, just my two cents

Iā€™d like them just for a little extra safety for kids. Mine are young teens that somehow forget to put belts on until told to.
honestly Iā€™d like cargo net doors. Even lighter smaller tubing and if a kid happens to drop something maybe it will be contained.

First off I find they are way overpriced. Secondly, I donā€™t like the look. They remind me of a carnival ride safety bar. I totally get it if one is a serious off roader and door damage is a real concern. I also donā€˜t do the door off thing either. The Halo doors look cool, but they are way overpriced and in reality, what do they actually provide? Top off and windows down provide enough freedom in my case.
