It’s a safety feature, so they’re not going to make it simple to deactivate it.

I never understood why people leave their cars running and walk away from it. If it’s that hot or cold out, get out, remote start your vehicle, and do your errand.

So what do you suggest people do if you have a manual and no remote start?

At the end of the day I understand what you guys are saying. I just never have had an instance where I needed to keep my vehicle running. I’ve had a few push button start vehicles and never ran into an issue. Just my experience though.

I'm not going to lie, the times I've needed to are few and far between, but they include times such as:

• When I've forgotten my garage door opener in my motorcycle jacket (I only have one opener, and am too cheap to buy another, lol)
• When I've forgotten my wallet (or something else, really), but didn't think of it until I've pulled out of the garage
• I guess that's it, the first has happened multiple times, the 2nd maybe once

lol, well I have my garage door opener and credit card on my phone/smart watch, so it's a non-issue

Are any of you guys doing this with Forscan Lite on Android or IOS? I don’t own a windows laptop, and would like to kill the awful double honk. I have young kids. They’re always forgetting something that I have to run back inside for after we’re all buckled up and ready to roll.

You’d need to use a laptop. Lite doesn’t have any programming ability AFAIK

This is why I posted it yes it works I did it to both my Broncos. I also made it so you have to hit the panic button twice before it will set off the alarm.

I'd love to fix the panic button. Set it off at midnight last night taking it out of my pocket, and turning it off required starting the truck. Not pleasant.
